We are seeking a collaborative and execution-centered engineering leader. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll guide a team building and scaling software that powers seamless, secure experiences for millions of members. You’ll combine technical depth with a partnership-first mindset working cross-functionally to bring products from concept to production with speed, safety, and impact. The right candidate has a track record of delivering resilient, scalable systems while fostering a culture of learning and collaboration in fast-paced environments.

What you’ll do:

  • Hire, mentor, and support engineering talent with clear growth opportunities, thoughtful feedback, and career development
  • Lead team ceremonies and roadmap planning with a focus on transparency, collaboration, and shared accountability
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to shape priorities and deliver enterprise and member value
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, using metrics and feedback loops to strengthen both team health and technical outcomes
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and context to help teammates make strong design and architectural decisions
  • Promote engineering and operational excellence by setting clear goals, embedding best practices, and ensuring testing, documentation, and observability are part of the team’s DNA

What you’re great at:

  • Broad experience across software development, architecture, and system design
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to translate technical detail into shared understanding across functions
  • Hands-on expertise with modern OOP languages, design patterns, and cloud-native development
  • Proven ability to deliver scalable, highly available systems while balancing business and user needs
  • Comfortable guiding and aligning multiple teams toward collective goals
  • Passionate about technology, curious by nature, and committed to continuous learning and improvement

The base salary range for this role is $190,000 - $235,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units.
