Director, Workforce Management

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, Workforce Management to lead labor strategy and staffing optimization across CLEAR’s airport operations. Reporting to CLEAR’s VP of Finance, this leader will design scalable workforce models, partner closely with Regional VPs and GMs, and collaborate cross-functionally with the Finance and People team to drive operational excellence across our large, distributed hourly workforce.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and continuously refine data-driven staffing models to support airport operations nationwide
- Develop short-term and long-term demand forecasts using trend analysis, seasonality, growth projections, and scenario modeling
- Partner closely with Regional VPs and GMs to implement staffing plans and drive accountability against labor targets
- Collaborate closely with Finance to align labor strategy with budgets, forecasts, and expense management goals
- Partner with the People team on workforce planning inputs including hiring targets, retention trends, commission structuring, and workforce initiatives
- Optimize labor allocation to balance service excellence, member experience, and financial performance
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for efficiency, productivity improvement, and cost management
- Drive execution of highly visible, cross-functional workforce initiatives
- Refine KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure labor effectiveness and operational performance
- Optimize processes and tools supporting growth and network expansion

- Labor productivity and cost performance that exceeds budget targets while maintaining or improving service levels
- Improved staffing accuracy and reduced over- or under-scheduling
- Strong cross-functional alignment across Operations, Finance, and People teams
- Increased productivity and measurable efficiency gains across the network
- Clear, actionable workforce insights that inform leadership decision-making
What you're great at:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of workforce management experience supporting a large, geographically distributed hourly workforce, preferably in hospitality, travel, aviation, retail, or technology-enabled operations
- Proven ability to design staffing models, demand forecasts, and labor optimization strategies
- Excellent financial acumen with experience managing labor against P&L targets. Experience with commission-based compensation structures preferred
- Ability to partner and influence cross-functionally with senior operational leaders, Finance and the People team
- Excellent executive presence with experience presenting complex insights to C-suite leadership and driving alignment on high-impact decisions
- Scrappiness and resourcefulness with a willingness to get your hands dirty in the data and in the field. Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience with workforce planning and analytics tools along with advanced Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides skills
- Advanced degree or Six Sigma certification a plus

The base salary range for this role is $150,000-$190,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
