About the Opportunity

ClearGov has built a strong product marketing foundation, with an established team supporting product launches, messaging, and sales enablement across a growing portfolio. As the company enters its next phase of growth, ClearGov is hiring a Director of Product & Solution Marketing to elevate the function from strong product-level execution to platform-and- solution-level strategy.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this leader will define how ClearGov positions, packages, and brings to market a suite of 13 products across cities, counties, school districts, and special districts, each with distinct needs and buying dynamics. The Director of Product & Solution Marketing will help the company make sharper decisions about where to invest, how the products fit together, and how ClearGov expands within its customer base.

This is a highly visible leadership role with meaningful autonomy and direct access to the executive team and board. The Director of Product & Solution Marketing will serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Marketing, CPO and CRO, translating customer and market insight into portfolio choices and measurable commercial impact.

This leader will manage an established team of four, creating a five-person product & solution marketing organization, with the opportunity to grow the team as the function expands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pricing and packaging strategy: Set the strategic direction for bundling, discounting, and launch pricing in partnership with Product, Finance, Revenue, and external research partners.
  • Set portfolio and commercialization strategy: Define how ClearGov’s products fit together, where bundling and cross-sell opportunities exist, and how positioning and go-to-market motions should vary across customer segments.
  • Shape executive decision-making: Represent product marketing with the executive team and board, connecting market, customer, and competitive insight to growth priorities and business performance.
  • Lead and develop the product marketing organization: Build on the team’s subject matter expertise and strengths in messaging, launches, and enablement while expanding its capabilities in portfolio strategy, market intelligence, pricing, and commercial planning.
  • Build a scalable launch and integration model: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales on new product / bundle launches and create repeatable approaches for positioning, packaging, and commercializing acquired products.
  • Strengthen expansion motions: Partner with Revenue and Marketing leaders to improve cross-sell, upsell, and account-based growth programs across ClearGov’s customer base.
  • Establish a market and customer intelligence discipline: Build competitive intelligence, win-loss analysis, and industry engagement that inform product, sales, and portfolio decisions.
  • Own the market narrative and field adoption: Craft bold, outcome-based messaging that clearly differentiates ClearGov from spreadsheets and competing vendors, including sharp depositioning that sales can use in live deals. Ensure sales actually uses what the team builds by measuring content adoption, retiring assets that go unused, and tying messaging to win rates.
  • Create clear measures of impact: Define how product marketing performance is evaluated and connect the team’s work to adoption, expansion, win rates, and revenue outcomes.

Critical Skills/Experience:

  • Significant product marketing leadership experience in B2B SaaS, including recent experience at the Director or Senior Director level, or operating at a comparable scope.
  • Experience owning go-to-market or commercialization strategy across a multi-product / platform portfolio, multiple customer segments, or distinct buyer personas.
  • Pricing and packaging experience, including bundling, discounting, or launch pricing.
  • A track record of translating customer, market, and competitive insight into positioning, portfolio, investment, or growth decisions.
  • People leadership experience, including building, developing, and elevating a product marketing team.
  • Strong partnership with Product, Sales, and Marketing leaders in a mid-market or enterprise sales environment.
  • Executive presence and sound judgment, with the ability to operate autonomously, align senior stakeholders, and communicate strategy clearly to executives and board members.
  • Comfort operating in a growing, evolving business where portfolio priorities and organizational needs continue to change.
  • Experience with mid-market or lower-enterprise B2B SaaS products in the $30K–$60K ARR range and sales cycles of approximately three to four months.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with programmatic growth motions such as account-based marketing, cross-sell, or upsell at scale.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS products of $75k-$250M+
  • Background in GovTech, FinTech, finance, accounting, compliance, or another technical or regulated vertical.
  • Experience supporting growth through M&A, portfolio expansion, or product-line integration.
  • Experience building win-loss, competitive intelligence, or industry analyst programs.

Compensation:

  • In the spirit of transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $165,000 - $200,000 USD or $155,000 - 190,000 CAD, and exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
