Who We're Looking For - Scrum Master
We are seeking an outgoing and organized individual to fill the role of Scrum Master as an integral member of multiple development teams.
You will support your teams through backlog and sprint management, facilitating meetings, working closely with cross-functional team members, maintaining project documentation, and taking detailed notes and action items. This position will require agility, quick task-switching, and the ability to distill complex and semi-technical communication into a clear and palatable version for non-technical stakeholders.
We're looking for someone who will work well in an autonomous environment with an eagerness to take ownership and act proactively. Ideally, this person would be an excellent communicator, capable of producing a rich team culture while holding individuals accountable and creating strong communication networks with various team members while also adapting priorities.
The Impact You Will Make
- Facilitate all scrum rituals including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives and prioritizations.
- Organize the team backlog by tracking all relevant information such as story points, epics, priority, and properly tying all work to associated programs.
- Work with internal teams ensuring that teams stay focused, on-track and in-scope.
- Ensure scope is met and quality/approval processes are followed
- Communicate project risks and aid in removal of roadblocks
- Maintain relationships with key partners, advocate for, and on behalf of the development team
- Lead the team ticketing portal and ensure accurate traffic control

- Function as the face of the team and facilitate one-to-one communication between development team and stakeholders, as needed
- Build a sense of community within and across development and cross functional teams
- Report on relevant team metrics with leadership such as velocity and resource allocation
- Support cross functional programs and projects by managing the team details required to move those programs and projects forward
- Work closely with other scrum masters, project managers, product owners and team leaders to provide insight, feedback and improve overall processes
What You Bring
- 1-2 years of technology-focused project management, scrum master or related experience or relevant certification (e.g CSM, PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, etc.)
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred
- Strong knowledge of agile practices and scrum concepts, rituals, etc
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and experience working with technical resources
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and proven track record to successfully collaborate with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter specialists
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and leadership teams
- Adept at making sense out of complex information and are not afraid to ask clarifying questions to ensure all parties stay aligned
- Able to motivate and achieve results without direct reporting relationships
