VP, Product Marketing & Strategy

Remote

Who We're Looking For - VP, Product Marketing & Strategy

We are a digital media and audience platform company operating a portfolio of owned & operated properties across high-intent consumer verticals — including internet/broadband, wireless, MVPD/streaming, consumer finance, home services, small business, and consumer technology. Our business model connects large, engaged audiences with the advertisers, operators, and brands who want to reach them, monetizing through advertising, e-commerce/affiliate, and subscription models.

We are in the midst of a strategic transformation focused on three pillars: Users (efficient organic and inorganic audience growth, deeper engagement and trust), Clients (growing revenue from existing customer relationships and their success outcomes), and Model (continuously refining our monetization mix — CPC, CPL, CPA — to align user intent, client value, and operational risk). Longer-term, we're focused on revenue diversification and new business development across our owned & operated portfolio.

The VP, Product Marketing & Strategy will be a key architect of how this strategy translates into market-facing positioning, go-to-market execution, and cross-functional alignment. This is a highly visible role that sits at the intersection of Sales/Business Development, Partner Management, Product, Editorial, Commercial Operations, and executive leadership — responsible for ensuring our Go To Market Strategy of what we build, how we position it, and how we grow it are all pointed at the same strategic outcomes.

Clearlink is a remote-friendly company, prioritizing virtual and in-person collaboration. This is a remote-first role for candidates who are located outside of Utah and outside of commuting distance. For candidates residing within 50 miles of our Salt Lake City, Utah office, a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days in-office is required.

The Impact You Will Make

Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Own the ongoing analysis of the markets we operate in (broadband/ISP, wireless, MVPD/streaming, consumer finance, home services, small business, consumer tech), tracking competitive dynamics, share shifts, and structural changes (e.g., AI's impact on search & discovery) that affect our audience and monetization strategy.
  • Translate company-level strategy (audience growth, client relationship depth, monetization model optimization) into clear, actionable product marketing and go-to-market plans for each brand/property in our portfolio.
  • Partner with executive leadership to shape and refine long-range strategic plans, including revenue diversification and new business model exploration (advertising, e-commerce, subscription, affiliate).

Product Marketing & Positioning

  • Develop differentiated positioning and messaging for our owned & operated properties, tailored to both consumer audiences and commercial clients (advertisers, operators, partners).
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new products, verticals, monetization models, and business lines — from launch strategy through post-launch performance analysis.
  • Serve as the voice of the market internally — bringing user, client, and competitive insight into product, editorial, and commercial roadmaps.
  • Own pricing, packaging and positioning of revenue products that we bring to market

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Editorial, Growth/Yield, and Commercial Operations to ensure a unified strategy across the "Users → Clients → Model" framework.
  • Work with Commercial/Sales leadership to arm client-facing teams with the narrative, proof points, and tools needed to grow existing relationships and win new business.
  • Support Business Development and Partner Management in evaluating new revenue surfaces, audience expansion opportunities, and business model innovation.

Performance & Operating Discipline

  • Define and track KPIs that connect product marketing efforts to company outcomes — audience reach and growth, client outcome/goal achievement, revenue quality and predictability, and monetization mix performance.
  • Bring a data-driven, test-and-learn discipline to strategy and positioning decisions, consistent with our culture of default-to-action and results-driven execution.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on market strategy performance against the Long Range Plan.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, strategy, or growth roles, with at least 3-5 years in a senior/leadership capacity — ideally within digital media, marketplace, lead-generation, publishing, or audience-monetization businesses.
  • Demonstrated experience operating across multiple verticals or brands simultaneously, ideally in consumer-facing, high-intent categories (telecom/broadband, wireless, finance, home services, or similar).
  • Strong grasp of digital monetization models (advertising, CPL/CPA/CPC, e-commerce/affiliate, subscription) and how positioning and GTM strategy shift depending on the model.
  • Proven ability to translate high-level company strategy into concrete, cross-functional execution plans.
  • Excellent executive communication and influence skills — comfortable presenting to and partnering with C-suite leadership.
  • Strong analytical orientation; comfortable working with product, revenue, and audience data to make and defend strategic recommendations.
  • Experience partnering with Editorial, Product, Engineering, and Commercial/Sales teams in a fast-moving, resource-disciplined environment.
  • Experience navigating a business through structural market change (e.g., AI's impact on search/discovery, media consumption shifts).
  • Background in both organic (SEO/content) and inorganic (paid/media buying) audience acquisition strategy.
  • Experience supporting new business development or revenue diversification initiatives.

What Success Looks Like

  • A clear, well-understood market strategy for each property in the portfolio, tied directly to the Users / Clients / Model framework.
  • Product and go-to-market plans that measurably improve audience growth, client retention/expansion, and monetization quality.
  • Strong cross-functional alignment — Product, Editorial, Commercial, and BD all working from the same strategic playbook.
  • A repeatable, data-driven approach to evaluating and launching new products, verticals, and business models.
