Who We're Looking For - Senior Account Manager

The Penny Hoarder is looking for a Senior Account Manager to own a portfolio of strategic partner relationships, driving revenue and gross margin growth while shaping how those partnerships evolve over time. You'll manage partners across financial services and other consumer categories in our portfolio. Priority verticals include banking, credit cards, lending, insurance and investing.

This is a highly visible role with real ownership over account performance and growth. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to partners, using performance data and market knowledge to identify growth opportunities, negotiate pricing and budgets, and expand successful partner relationships. You'll work cross-functionally with paid media, yield, editorial and product teams to improve campaign performance to meet both TPH and partner goals.

This role is ideal for a seasoned account leader who pairs strong relationship skills with sharp analytical judgment, someone who doesn't just manage accounts but grows them. You'll also serve as a resource for the broader team, sharing best practices and helping raise the bar for how we manage partnerships.

We are open to remote candidates. Candidates must be willing to work on Eastern Time.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Own a portfolio of partner accounts, driving revenue, gross margin and long-term growth for both The Penny Hoarder and our partners
  • Identify and pitch opportunities to improve monetization, scale high-performing partnerships, and expand long-term account value
  • Balance revenue and gross margin growth with partner KPIs, traffic quality, and long-term account health
  • Analyze performance at the offer, placement and source level to deliver data-backed recommendations that improve results
  • Build strong working relationships with partners and internal teams across paid media, editorial, product and operations

What Success Looks Like

  • Grow portfolio revenue, gross margin and partner budget allocation against established targets
  • Expand partner relationships into additional products, channels, sponsorships and flat-fee opportunities
  • Consistently meet partner performance targets and maintain strong account retention
  • Maintain accurate campaign reporting, tracking, and account documentation across assigned partners
  • Identify material performance changes early, explain the business impact and recommend next steps
  • Lead business reviews and partner meetings with clear analysis and specific recommendations
  • Maintain strong workflows, documentation and follow-through, and share learnings that help the broader team improve

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of client-facing experience in account management, partnerships or business development, with a track record of growing accounts
  • Experience in affiliate or performance marketing, with financial services experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of CPA, CPL, CPC, flat-fee and other digital media pricing models, including how each affects partner performance and yield
  • Proven ability to negotiate pricing, payouts, budgets and contract terms
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn performance data into clear recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both partners and internal teams
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coordinate work across teams without direct authority
  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple accounts
  • Strong sense of ownership, with the ability to identify next steps and take action
  • Experience with TUNE or similar affiliate and tracking platforms is a plus
  • Occasional schedule flexibility may be required for time-sensitive partner needs
