ClearView Healthcare Partners, LLC seeks Data & Analytics Engagement Managers in Newton, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 2 to 3 D&A projects and all corresponding responsibilities at any given time
  • Provide Analyst/Senior Analyst/Consultant/Senior Consultant (SC) colleagues guidance on most problems
  • Advise SCs on typical problems that emerge through the course of typical project types
  • Oversee and advise on communications with data vendors/internal teams/client teams for questions related to data sets, suggestion on methodology, data nuances, etc.
  • Innovate project approaches and identify new life sciences problems to solve with analytics
  • Lead team building by making code scalable through templates, macros, or interfaces
  • Clearly communicate analytical techniques and findings from analyses in a non-technical way
  • Foster and develop a high performance, strongly collegial and collaborative environment
  • Exhibit exceptional project management skills including raising issues to leadership early, designing impactful internal and external agendas and avoiding 'fire drills' with teams.
  • Elevate quality, clarity and simplicity of team outputs with early and clear direction, hypothesis-based thinking, simplification of storylines, impact of visuals and pithiness of writing
  • Proactively collaborate with leadership such as engaging for thought partnership early, raising potential 'red flags' regarding client or team experience and around team performance
  • Consistently create a positive experience for all team members
  • Deal with challenging problem solving in real-time (e.g., reacting and generating hypotheses in the moment with colleagues / leadership / clients)
  • Invest in mentorship within and outside of the project setting and commitment to high-quality coaching
  • Become a standard bearer of ClearView values
  • Demonstrate impact to firm growth even outside of project delivery through internal initiatives and coaching/mentorship
  • Able to pressure test methodologies and rigor of coding and analyses across the project and pivot, as needed
  • Perceived as a strong role model in the organization (e.g., helping others navigate various challenges in the client setting as well as within ClearView)

Position will supervise 1 to 6 subordinates in positions of Analyst, Senior Analyst, Consultant, Senior Consultant

Qualifications

  • Requires a Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Physics, Data Science or a related field plus 6 years of related experience
  • Requires 6 years of experience with the following:
    • Working with large data manipulation in SAS or SQL interfaces
    • Working in one or more of the following areas
      • Common machine learning models (e.g. neural networks, support vector machines, decision trees)
      • Advanced regression models (e.g. Bayesian, hierarchical, non-linear)
      • Unsupervised learning
      • Advanced time series
    • 3 years of experience working with life sciences data (e.g. closed and open claims, EHR)
    • 1 year of experience managing D&A projects and all corresponding responsibilities at any given time
    • Any amount of experience with providing colleagues guidance on most problems
    • 100% telecommuting is permitted
    • Ability to work 40 hours/week

Pay range is $150,000 - $170,000 per year
