Plant Manager
What The Role Is
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and staff of Agua Caliente. The primary objective is accountability for the safe and compliant operations of the utility-scale solar farm.
This position will be based at Agua Caliente in Dateland, AZ.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the PV industry, with an emphasis on safety, planning/scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance
- Primary responsibility for availability, meeting contractual obligations, and budget
- Monitor and enforce safe work practices as they relate to PV Solar plants and PV Solar BOP repairs and maintenance
- First line supervisor responsible for technicians. Assists in the hiring of site maintenance personnel and conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine the competency, knowledge, and contribution of the site maintenance personnel
- Monitor and report on manufacture and third-party maintenance and repair efforts
- Supervise/conduct/assist in troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems
- Monitors and manages the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, equipment, tools, and reordering as necessary
- Inspect completed repairs and scheduled maintenance for quality assurance
- Communicates regularly with Management and all site personnel, both individually and as a group, to ensure excellent two-way communication concerning operational and maintenance issues
- Participate in contract negotiations with sub-contractors and other vendors for parts and services required.
- Responsible for manuals, updates, and work instructions for site personnel and PV systems
- Work with team members to establish goals, action plans and strategies
- Develop standard work procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity with respect to all functions of DEI
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5 years of experience in the operation of Solar plants, or 7 years of equivalent experience in instrumentation & controls, MV/HV Electrical work
- Qualified to perform all routine and emergency operations at an electric generation facility and HV Switchyard
- Experience with operations financial management, forecasting, and controls preferred
- Proficiency in using MS Office software to include spreadsheet and document applications
- Experience working with plant systems and computerized maintenance management systems (SAP)

What Would Be Nice
- Technical School Diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Journeyman electrician preferred

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.
Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations
$130,000 - $170,000 USD
