About the Role  

As our Senior Art Director, you’ll be the visual heartbeat of our brand. Collaborating closely with the Executive Creative Director, you’ll lead the conception and execution of compelling visual campaigns that resonate with our audience. From bold brand initiatives to nuanced product visuals, your work will ensure Cleo’s aesthetic is both consistent and captivating across all touchpoints.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading Visual Campaigns: Conceptualize and execute integrated campaigns that span digital, print, and experiential mediums.
  • Developing the Brand: Leading on the continuous development and evolution of the Cleo brand as well our visual identity.
  • Collaborating Cross-Functionally: Work alongside copywriters, motion designers, product designers, and marketers to ensure cohesive storytelling.
  • Mentoring and Inspiring: Guide junior designers, fostering an environment of growth and creativity.
  • Maintaining Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual outputs align with Cleo’s brand guidelines and voice.
  • Innovating: Stay ahead of design trends, bringing fresh ideas that keep Cleo at the forefront of fintech design.

Who You Are:

We're looking for a strong conceptual thinker with a keen creative sense backed up by sharp design skills and possessing particular strengths in the following areas:

  • High-level typography, layout, and composition skills.
  • Concept development & storytelling.
  • Campaign ideation across digital, print, and experiential.
  • Art direction for photo and video shoots.
  • Presenting and pitching ideas to senior stakeholders and internal teams.

Other attributes that we're looking for:

  • Experience: 9+ years in art direction, preferably within fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Body of work: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of campaigns and design systems.
  • Leadership Capability: Proven ability to lead projects and mentor design teams & other creatives. 
  • Collaborative Nature: The ability to work cross-functionally with teams across accounts, copy, product design, strategy & production to name just a few. 
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Detailed: An incredibly sharp attention to detail and quality control.
