Clerk Chat is an in-office team based just three blocks south of the Embarcadero BART station, making it easy to commute and stay connected. We love being in the office five days a week because it fosters real-time collaboration, builds stronger relationships, and helps us move faster.

Who you are:

As our Head of Sales, you will lead our sales strategy and team to drive Clerk Chat's growth in the business communications market. You're a dynamic leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on sales execution. You have a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing sales teams, and you're passionate about transforming how businesses communicate.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
  • Mentor a high-performing sales team while refining scalable sales processes
  • Create and implement sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting systems
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Marketing teams to align sales strategies with product development and market positioning
  • Establish key relationships with strategic clients and partners to drive enterprise-level deals
  • Drive the evolution of our sales methodology, tools, and processes as we scale

 

What you will need:

  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a director-level role
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets and scaling sales teams
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS sales, preferably in communications or enterprise software
  • Experience with both direct sales and partner channel development
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Excellence in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales operations
  • Background in building sales processes and implementing sales tools/CRM systems
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills at both executive and technical levels

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with telecom, communication, or messaging platforms.
  • Exposure to early-stage startups or high-growth companies, with a passion for driving results in these environments.
