As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will be a technical leader responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of the data pipelines that power our platform. You won’t just be maintaining existing systems; you will be the driving force behind building new integrations with Dental Practice Management Systems (PMS) and 3rd party vendors.

We are looking for a high-impact engineer who operates with a strong sense of urgency to enhance and stabilize our interoperability layer. While you will ensure our solutions work flawlessly, this role shifts away from day-to-day support tickets to focus on high-level architectural decisions, scalability, and the creation of robust integration tooling that delights our customers and users.  This position will report directly to the Integration Engineering Team Lead.

This position offers a base salary of $142,000 as well as company equity.

The Day-to-Day 

You will lead efforts within the Interoperability Engineering team to design high-quality, resilient code that scales with our rapidly growing user base. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead Architectural Design: Take ownership of architectural decisions for new data pipelines and integrations, ensuring they are modular, secure, and highly performant.
  • Drive New Integrations: Build and optimize complex integrations with various dental practice management systems and external vendor APIs.
  • Agile Leadership: Work within an Agile environment to deliver well-engineered, scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our healthcare partners.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Product Management to review and estimate complex projects, refine technical roadmaps, and translate business requirements into technical reality.
  • Quality & Mentorship: Ensure all code adheres to industry best practices for security, testing, and maintainability. Provide guidance and peer reviews to elevate the team’s output.
  • Continuous Evolution: Identify and implement platform enhancements and tools that proactively minimize issues and stabilize our integration ecosystem.
  • Innovation: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our tech stack remains modern and competitive.

To Be Successful

  • 5+ years of experience in integration or backend engineering roles.
  • Expertise in Software Design: Deep comfort with software design patterns and object-oriented design principles.
  • Architectural Mastery: Strong foundational knowledge and proven experience making high-level architectural decisions for distributed systems.
  • Language Proficiency: 5+ years of professional experience with Python and C#.
  • Database Depth: Extensive experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL and MySQL).
  • API Expert: Expert-level skills in building, securing, and maintaining REST APIs.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Professional experience with AWS managed services and a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Industry Savvy: Experience writing code for highly scalable interoperability platforms, preferably within healthcare or fintech.
  • You are legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship
  • And you have a bachelor’s degree in anything. We mean it! Business, History, Cooking (actually, that could be incredibly useful) … anything.
