As a Billing Specialist  you will join our team and help drive our billing operations forward. Working closely with our Billing Manager and Senior Billing Specialist, you’ll handle everything from daily billing and fulfillment cycles to high-priority ad hoc projects. This is a great opportunity to apply your expertise toward resolving complex inquiries, delivering top-tier customer support, and ensuring our processes remain fully compliant with regulatory standards. This position will report directly to the Billing Manager.

This position pays $28.50 per hour and offers company equity.

The Day-to-Day 

You will deliver excellence in our billing services and contribute to the success of our organization. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Manage lockbox activities, resolve open inquiries, and process applications to ensure all entries meet our established SLAs.
  • Promptly handle refund processing, benefits validation, and ticket resolution within SLA timelines.
  • Respond to billing disputes with urgency and accuracy to maintain trust with our partners.
  • Provide exceptional support to members and partners, serving as a knowledgeable resource for all billing inquiries.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the internal Billing wiki and knowledge base documentation.
  • Update key reports and provide data-driven feedback for management review to track performance and trends.
  • Aid in departmental improvement initiatives and assist management in identifying bottlenecks, inconsistencies, or communication gaps.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Professionally interface with partners and customers regarding missing payments and the secure handling of sensitive information to ensure successful processing.

  • You have a knowledge of ticketing and CRM tools; preferably Stripe and Salesforce.
  • You are legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship
  • And you have a bachelor’s degree in anything. We mean it! Business, History, Cooking (actually, that could be incredibly useful) … anything.
