The Control Plane team is responsible for providing the administrative APIs used to create, read/describe, update, delete, and list (CRUDL) ClickHouse Cloud resources. The team also owns among other products the Billing pipeline, monitoring dashboards, support portal, OpenAPI and SQL console editor with AI features.
Our team is looking for exceptional software engineers who can work on a variety of technologies including frontend and backend while integrating with other systems. The team focuses on great user experience, (reliability, scalability, privacy, security, observability) while helping our customers make data-driven decisions.
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
- Design, implement, and execute end-to-end test automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product, and Development) to ensure proper integration of test automation within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Identify and document bugs, ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and work with development teams to ensure quality.
- Develop test strategies and plans for both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Continuously optimize test automation for maximum efficiency and coverage.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in automation testing.
What you bring along:
- 2 + years of experience in automation testing with a focus on web applications.
- Strong experience with Playwright or similar testing frameworks (e.g. Vitest, Jest, Cypress, Selenium).
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, or similar) and integrating automated tests into the build process.
- Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) and APIs (REST).
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with SQL for basic querying and data validation, including SELECT statements, filtering, and simple joins.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of performance and security testing.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with ClickHouse
