Go to Market Systems Engineer (Salesforce Developer)

United States (remote)

About ClickHouse

Established in 2009, ClickHouse leads the industry with its open-source column-oriented database system, driven by the vision of becoming the fastest OLAP database globally. The company empowers users to generate real-time analytical reports through SQL queries, emphasizing speed in managing escalating data volumes. Enterprises globally, including Lyft, Sony, IBM, GitLab, Twilio, HubSpot, and many more, rely on ClickHouse Cloud. It is available through open-source or on AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba.

We are seeking a highly skilled Go-To-Market Systems Engineer with deep expertise in the Salesforce ecosystem to support and optimize our sales, operations, marketing, and support services and their associated tech stacks. This role will be instrumental in developing and managing custom applications within Salesforce, automating business processes, ensuring seamless integrations across go-to-market applications, and striving to maintain system reliability and user satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Salesforce Developer with a strong background in automation, cross-team collaboration, and API integrations. In this key role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable automations and integrations across our Salesforce environment and other internal data warehouse systems. You will work closely with Sales, Support, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure our Salesforce instance supports rapid growth while maintaining technical stability and scalability standards.

We are looking for someone with a builder mentality who thrives in solving often ambiguous problems, and enjoys creating innovative solutions from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Development & Customization: Serve as the primary technical expert and owner of Salesforce development, keeping our implemented solutions simple and stage appropriate for our company size.
  • Automation & Process Optimization: Where it makes sense not to use Apex or code, optimize Salesforce Flows, validation rules, and approval workflows to enhance GTM efficiency.
  • System Integration: Architect and implement integrations between Salesforce and other applications using Salesforce APIs, Mulesoft, or other application connections.
  • Data Architecture & Governance: Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance within Salesforce and related systems, including business intelligence tools.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, and Support Services teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Testing & Deployment: Continuously improve Salesforce DevOps processes, including the creation and maintenance of automated testing between Salesforce environments in the pipeline. Develop test cases, perform QA, and support deployments using Salesforce DX, CI/CD practices, and version control systems (e.g., GitHub, DevOps tools).
  • Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and user experience within Salesforce and connected GTM tools via quarterly performance reports.
  • Technical Documentation & Training: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and provide guidance to stakeholders on best practices and correct usage.
  • System Hygiene and User Support: Assist with ongoing support and system operations, addressing user issues, troubleshooting system errors, and ensuring continuous improvement in platform functionality.

What you bring along:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer with strong fluency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Proven experience designing scalable automation and integration strategies within Salesforce in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce’s object model, security, sharing settings, and its automation limitations.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external APIs and platforms directly or using middleware or custom Apex integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce DevOps, UAT, and end-to-end testing practices, including source control systems (GitHub) and CI/CD.
  • Salesforce certification required: Platform Developer I; Platform Developer II is a plus.
  • Understanding of both Sales and Support environment use-cases, i.e. Sales and Service Cloud
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills—able to translate business requirements into technical solutions and present them clearly.
  • A passion for automation, optimization, and emerging technologies like AI and intelligent process automation.
  • Experience integrating with other GTM platforms (e.g., Stripe, Marketo) and data warehouses.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
