The Opportunity 

Overview: 

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Sales Enablement Engineer to help bridge the gap between our sales, product, and marketing teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating sales product evaluation processes, enhancing client experience, and ensuring the seamless transfer of leads through the sales pipeline. This role is crucial to nurturing potential clients through product evaluations and assisting our sales team with the tools and weather insights necessary to close deals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Client Engagement & Nurturing: 

  • Assist the sales team in managing client relationships through demo stages to contract close and product deployment. Work with the Product, Tech, and Marketing teams to ensure customers understand the value proposition. Maintain consistent client follow-up, addressing questions, and coordinating product support.  
  • Coordinate with Customer Success, Tech & Product teams to facilitate client onboarding and access to contracted products and services (API, Web UI, Apps). Assist with any client challenges on software or 3rd party integrations.
  • High-profile member of the sales team as a trusted weather advisor, explaining complex weather data models and use cases to non-technical teams to help them better understand the value of our weather data products.  
  • Develop and deliver tailored product demos to showcase relevant product information, ensuring they understand product value, features and how it integrates with their existing systems. 

Sales Process Optimization: 

  • Coordinate with sales reps to optimize Salesforce (or other CRM systems) by managing client evaluations, contract details, trial lengths, and ensure data accuracy throughout the pre-sale process.
  • Partner with Product Management to develop feedback on technical documentation and FAQs 

Cross-Team Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with product and marketing teams to ensure alignment in messaging and positioning across the client journey, including sales playbooks, best practices, and onboarding materials.
  • Gather feedback from clients during the nurturing phase to communicate insights back to the product team for ongoing improvements.
  • Partner with sales executives to ensure seamless handoffs when the client is ready for contract negotiation and closing. 

Qualifications: 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Meteorology background with a strong understanding of meteorological data, weather patterns, and their practical applications in industries such as utilities, transportation, or energy, required.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales enablement, sales operations, or a related role.
  • Knowledge of energy markets, energy trading, and renewable power forecasting, a plus.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or weather data analytic solutions. 

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in using and integrating APIs for weather data solutions.
  • Experience with meteorological data distributed via API, GRIB, and ESRI outputs.
  • Proven experience optimizing CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and integrating sales tools into workflows.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (Data Dog) and programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript), a plus. 

Communication & Collaboration: 

  • Skilled at presenting complex meteorological information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product value and customer solutions. 

Personal Attributes: 

  • Self-motivated and eager to stay informed about the latest trends in weather-related solutions and client sectors such as commodities traders, energy, agriculture, and/or insurance.
  • Ability to move people and projects forward, coordinating and communicating withing various teams.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 – 90,000 and will be 100% remote with some need for occasional travel. Climavision considers several factors when extending an offer of employment including but not limited to, the applicant’s education, experience, the responsibilities of the role, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
