The Opportunity

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge software applications that power our high-resolution weather and climate technology solutions.

The Work   

  • Design, develop, and optimize software applications using a broad understanding of software development.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert, providing solutions to a wide range of software-related issues.
  • Foster a culture of growth by mentoring team members and promoting continuous learning and skill development within the engineering team.
  • Drive complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software solutions with the company's objectives.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for software development within the team.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve software performance and team productivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack development.
  • Adept in C#/.Net, Blazor, Docker and Python.
  • Strong experience with version control systems like Git within GitHub.
  • Skilled in cloud platforms with a strong preference for Azure or hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Octopus Deploy and RabbitMQ
  • Experience building and architecting distributed systems, preferred.
  • Experience with UX/UI design, a plus.
  • Familiarity with GIS products, a plus.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI and Analytic solutions, a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver on complex projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a knack for critical thinking and strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and adaptability, with a willingness to take on diverse roles in a start-up environment.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:   

  • This is a full-time, exempt position.  
  • Fully Remote from the United States  
  • This job requires frequent use of a computer to complete tasks, attend meetings, and communicate via Microsoft Teams.

The salary range for this position is $130-175k annually. This range reflects a broad spectrum to account for varying costs of living across different geographic locations, as well as individual factors such as education, experience, relevant skills, and expertise. When extending an offer, Climavision carefully considers these factors, along with the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and alignment with current market data.
