About The Position
Clinical Architecture is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our team in the Indianapolis, IN area. The Software Test Engineer will have the primary responsibility of validating windows based and web-based applications. You will be responsible for analyzing requirements, creating test cases, and manual test execution. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating findings and documenting defects concisely with the Software Development team. The Software Test Engineer’s focus is to ensure the code is correct and the software functions as expected according to the business requirements. The Software Test Engineer also helps foster a culture of quality and produces quality software with high customer satisfaction.
This role is required to be on site at our Carmel, IN Headquarters. Clinical Architecture offers ample flexibility to accommodate a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements.
- Design, document, and maintain test cases and other applicable test artifacts.
- Peer review planning documents.
- Execute tests on software for functionality and usability.
- Traverse and validate database entries using SQL queries.
- Detect and track defects for re-testing to ensure a proper resolution is implemented.
- Perform exploratory, ad-hoc, regression, load, and system testing.
- Review end-user documentation, providing feedback on gaps, design flaws, and wording issues.
- Research and support customer reported issues.
- Validate software performance.
- Participating in design reviews.
- Support the Automation team providing test scenarios and data.
- Communicate with the Engineering team concerning reported issues.
- Communicate with the Product Management team concerning requirements.
- Provide process improvement feedback to promote a culture of quality.
- Acquire an understanding of Clinical Architecture’s Products.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience required.
- 3+ years experience testing applications for usability, functionality, and performance required.
- CTFL or equivalent certification, preferred.
- Experience in writing SQL statements and traversing databases, preferred.
- Coding experience, preferred.
- Experience with API testing, preferred.
