Digital Fundraising Manager (NYC based)
About the Opportunity
The Clinton Foundation Marketing and Communications team is responsible for developing external communications, campaigns, and creative content in service of advancing the work of the Clinton Foundation and understanding of President Clinton’s lifetime of public service. This team of communicators is comprised of writers, marketers, producers, media specialists, content and digital strategists, metrics and data analysts, and creative professionals.
The Digital Fundraising Manager supports the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of our grassroots digital fundraising program. Reporting to the Director of Brand & Digital Marketing, this role blends hands-on campaign production with data analysis and project coordination to grow donor engagement and revenue across email, SMS, and paid advertising.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-literate, and eager to expand their expertise in fundraising strategy, performance reporting, and cross-channel execution. This is a highly collaborative hybrid role that works across teams and with external vendors to ensure every campaign is launched effectively and optimized for impact.
This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days in office) out of our New York City office.
Core Responsibilities
Email, SMS, & Giving Form Production
- Manage end to end production of email, SMS, and FundraiseUp forms including drafting, building, testing, and scheduling
- Administer quality assurance across devices and platforms to ensure flawless execution
- Configure and maintain donation pages, modals, and embedded giving experiences via FundraiseUp and related platforms
List Segmentation, Analytics, & Reporting
- Create dynamic audience segments based on donor behavior, lifecycle stage, and testing strategies
- Support performance tracking by pulling and visualizing weekly, monthly, and campaign-specific KPIs (e.g., revenue, conversion rates, list growth, deliverability)
- Enable accurate attribution and reporting by implementing and validating UTM parameters, campaign tags, and naming conventions across platforms
- Monitor data trends and partner with the Director to recommend strategic optimizations across channels
- Assist development of reports that inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
Project Management
- Manage development of creative assets for campaigns, coordinating with creative, development, and other teams to ensure deliverables are on time and on brand
- Assist in the development of integrated campaign strategies across email, SMS, and paid channels
Continuous Improvement & Professional Development
- Research trends and emerging tools in digital fundraising, email/SMS best practices, and advertising strategies
- Pursue training in analytics tools (e.g., SQL, GA4, Looker Studio, FundraiseUp) to deepen expertise and support future ownership of reporting and performance analysis
- Support a culture of learning by sharing insights and improvements with the team
Minimum Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience in digital fundraising, political campaigns, or digital marketing may substitute for formal education.
- 6 years of professional experience in the field in positions of increasing responsibility; agency or political campaign experience preferred
- Email & SMS – Hands-on ability to build responsive templates, segment lists, run automations, and QA across devices. Experience with EveryAction or similar platform preferred
- Data & Analytics – Comfortable working in Excel/Sheets. Experience with SQL, Looker Studio, and/or GA4 a plus
- Compliance – Familiarity with email and SMS compliance standards, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and opt-in best practices
Compensation & Benefits
Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $75 - 85K annually, depending on the experience you bring. This role is not eligible for overtime pay. This range is based on NYC market rates and may be adjusted if you will be working remotely.
