• A powerful Attack Surface Monitoring tool that gives visibility and intelligence on customers’ attack surfaces. CloudSEK's BeVigil uses a combination of Mobile, Web, Network and Encryption Scanners to map and protect known and unknown assets.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Automation Intern to support our IT and DevOps teams in streamlining internal operations. This role is designed for a technical problem-solver who enjoys identifying manual bottlenecks and replacing them with efficient, automated workflows.
You will work on a variety of projects, ranging from connecting software platforms via APIs to enhancing our monitoring and alerting capabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply scripting skills to real-world production environments and improve organizational efficiency.

Focus: Scripting, System Maintenance, and Operational Efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Analysis
Collaborate with team members to audit repetitive manual tasks in system administration and user support to identify automation candidates.

Scripting & Development
Write, test, and deploy scripts (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate routine tasks such as user onboarding/offboarding and software distribution.

Tool & API Integration
Assist in connecting different software platforms (e.g., fetching logs from a SIEM tool) to trigger automated actions or reports.

Monitoring & Alerting
Help maintain and improve monitoring dashboards by creating custom alerts and automated triggers to ensure high system uptime.

Technical Documentation
Create clear, standardized documentation for all automated processes and develop “how-to” guides for end-users and internal staff.

System Maintenance
Monitor the health of existing automated workflows to ensure they execute correctly and troubleshoot any failures.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Background
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Scripting Proficiency
Foundational knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python is highly preferred).

Linux Fundamentals
Comfort working within the Linux Command Line (CLI), including basic navigation, file permissions, and process management.

Basic Networking
A basic understanding of core network concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS) and comfort using standard diagnostic tools like ping or nslookup to troubleshoot connectivity.

Logical Reasoning
The ability to deconstruct a manual, multi-step process into a series of logical, automated steps.

Proactive Problem Solving
A natural inclination to look for technical shortcuts and more efficient ways to handle data and system tasks.

Professional Attributes

Attention to Detail
Ability to test scripts thoroughly to ensure reliability before deployment.

Communication
Capability to document technical workflows in a way that is accessible to non-technical users.

Adaptability
Willingness to work on a diverse set of automation projects based on current team priorities and personal technical interests.
