About this role summary:
Enthusiastic and dependable entry-level candidate with strong communication and customer service skills, eager to contribute as an Activity Assistant/Driver. Dedicated to creating a positive and engaging environment for residents through safe transportation, friendly interaction, and support with recreational activities and events. Quick to learn, highly organized, and willing to assist with event setup, decorating, group activities, and maintaining clean, welcoming community spaces. Committed to teamwork, professionalism, resident safety, and delivering compassionate service.
Salary Range: DOE
$17.00 - $18.00
- This is a temporary full-time position, not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, with an expected duration of up to six months.
What you’ll do: Includes but not limited to:
- Transport community residents in a safe, timely, reliable manner to scheduled trips.
- Maintain a safe vehicle, ensuring a safe and secure method of transportation.
- Have knowledge of the operating procedures of vehicle.
- Complete a daily check of vehicle and turn in the checklist weekly to Activity Director.
- Always have the van phone available when residents are out on any trips for return pick-ups.
- Assist when needed in all social, educational, and recreational programs each month.
- Assist residents in and out of the company vehicles, using the lift gates when needed for walkers/wheelchairs/groceries.
- Must be able to lift 35lbs to assist in the set up and break down of events as well as frequently walking the property.
- Maintain a clean environment inside and outside of the vehicles.
- Maintain high standards of resident service and relation.
- Can complete tasks independently and is proficient in time management while multi-tasking.
- Represent Sunrise Management and the community in a professional manner. Maintain a positive businesslike attitude in person. Dress in a neat, clean, professional manner and adhere to appropriate grooming.
- Adhere to Fair Housing Policies.
What you’ll need:
- This position requires valid Class D license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience operating a 14-passenger shuttle is required.
- An exceptional communicator: written and verbal.
- Computer literate.
- Customer Service.
- The ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
