Manager, Production Development - Softs

Each season, Club Monaco offers customers must have fashion and key pieces that together are the foundation of a modern wardrobe. This opportunity is onsite 5 days a week in NYC.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

· Lead and inspire the Softs Product Development team to bring design vision to life while delivering on KPI’s that support line plans, support production and sourcing strategy, and deliver company goals.

· Support and implement operational processes, to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve speed-to-market.

· Oversee the softs product lifecycle, from conceptualization through production, ensuring product quality and brand consistency.

· Initiate and lead discussions with potential strategic partners, successfully negotiating pricing and forging strong partnerships that align with Club Monaco’s brand vision.

· Be flexible in managerial style, be able to work with different cross functional partners as needed.

· Contribute to the overall business strategy by identifying growth opportunities, aligning product development efforts with company objectives, and developing innovative strategies to increase market share.

· Maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the product development and production processes to ensure the highest product quality.

· Collaborate closely with the Creative Design and Technical Design teams to negotiate prices and delivery terms that improve profit margins and accelerate time-to-market.

· Provide creative direction and input to ensure that product designs align with Club Monaco brand identity and customer preferences.

· Apply strategic thinking to guide product development initiatives, partnerships, and operational improvements that drive brand growth and competitiveness.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and employee development to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.

· Maintain all customer product calendars, including but not limited to design samples, fits, and pre-production samples.

· Manage category across multiple channels and genders simultaneously

· Focus on consolidation across categories to drive fabric platforming and price reductions.

· Effectively manage production sampling budgets for identified categories.

· Support fabric team in tracking lap dips, handlooms, strike offs and so on driving for approvals

· Lead weekly CFT meanings to drive resolutions and share updates as needed

· Manage and communicate in seasonal OIL charts.

· Be data driven; understand the science behind the art.

 

Qualifications:

· Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment, with the ability to juggle multiple seasons at one time and track development deadlines

· Strong business management skills to include product costing.

· Strong understanding of woven fabrics, dye processes, and construction of garments

· Excellent negotiation skills

· Ability to partner with a variety of leaders supporting diverse and broad product direction and/or channels.

· Ability to manage through change, make decisions and act comfortably with risk and uncertainty.

· Ability to translate design direction into execution.

· Ability to be a creative, problem-solver, is proactive and is known to be agile and adaptive.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office suite and an understanding of Flex PLM

· Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally if needed.

 

 

 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Club Monaco includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current compensation is $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
