Inspection Associate

Reports to: Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

This position ensures vehicles are inspected to the highest standards of condition and functionality before delivery or further production stages. Located in Mississauga, Ontario, it is an essential role for detail-oriented individuals passionate about automotive quality.

  1. Comprehensive Vehicle Inspections:
    • Perform detailed inspections of vehicles to ensure their condition and functionality meet company standards.
    • Evaluate vehicles for cosmetic, mechanical, and functional issues, ensuring readiness for delivery or further production.
  2. Cosmetic Inspection:
    • Examine the exterior and interior for scratches, dents, paint inconsistencies, and trim alignment.
    • Ensure all interior finishes, such as upholstery and dashboard elements, are free from defects.
  3. Mechanical and Functional Testing:
    • Conduct a thorough mechanical inspection, including checking brakes, tires, and suspension systems.
    • Inspect for fluid leaks, battery condition, and proper operation of the engine and drivetrain.
    • Test vehicle features such as windows, mirrors, HVAC systems, and advanced safety or connectivity options.
    • Perform a road test to evaluate driving performance, including steering, braking, acceleration, and overall handling.
  4. Observe and Record:
    • Maintain thorough inspection records and notes using an iPad and specialized inspection software.
  5. Safety and Compliance:
    • Operate vehicles and inspection tools responsibly and in adherence to safety protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and automotive industry regulations during inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Training in automotive inspection or quality control is a plus.
  • License: Minimum of a G2 Driver’s License (valid in Ontario).
  • Driving Record: Clean driver’s abstract with no major infractions.
  • Background Check: Clean criminal background check.
  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Location: Must be able to commute to Mississauga, Ontario.
  • Availability: Minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and light lifting for extended periods.
