About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to develop and support the company’s core people programs that drive employee engagement, performance, and positive employee relations. This role owns the design, execution, and continuous improvement of key HR programs, policies, and processes, partnering closely with leadership to ensure a consistent, pro-employee experience across the organization.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who thrives on operational excellence while also bringing sound judgment, empathy, and structure to complex people matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with managers to ensure performance processes are fair, consistent, and aligned with company values and goals.
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of company-wide performance review cycles, including timelines, tools, communications, calibration support, and reporting.
  • Continuously develop, evaluate and improve people programs to increase engagement, clarity, and effectiveness.
  • Build, document, and maintain the company’s pro-employee, positive relations playbook, ensuring alignment with employment standards and best practices.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Support and/or lead workplace investigations, ensuring issues are handled promptly, confidentially, and fairly, with clear documentation and follow-through.
  • Develop, update, and operationalize HR policies and procedures to support a scalable and compliant people function.
  • Ensure HR processes are clearly documented, communicated, and consistently applied across the company.
  • Partner with legal and leadership as needed on policy interpretation and risk mitigation.
  • Own the employee recognition program end-to-end, including design, administration, communications, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze engagement and feedback data to recommend enhancements to recognition and engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted partner to leaders, providing practical guidance on people-related decisions.
  • Support the Director of People Operations in executing broader people strategies and initiatives.
  • Serve as a steady operational backbone for the People function, ensuring programs run smoothly and on time.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, or Employee Relations.
  • Strong hands-on experience running performance reviews, employee relations processes, and investigations.
  • CHRP Preferred 
  • Solid understanding of HR policies, employment standards, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to build clear, scalable processes in fast-paced environments.
  • High degree of discretion, sound judgment, and empathy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a scaling or high-growth company.
  • Exposure to HRIS, performance management tools, and engagement platforms.
