About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Industrial Engineer to help build and scale our Lean reconditioning system. This role focuses on improving layouts, workflows, and production efficiency while partnering closely with shop floor teams to solve real operational problems. The ideal candidate is analytical, comfortable in fast-paced environments, and enjoys being on the floor working directly with operators, supervisors, and leadership to drive continuous improvement.

What you’ll do

  • Design and update facility and workstation layouts using CAD tools

  • Review current layouts and workflows to identify waste and bottlenecks

  • Plan equipment and workstation placement to reduce movement and handling

  • Lead Lean initiatives including Kaizen events, Gemba walks, value stream mapping, and 5S audits

  • Implement Lean tools such as Kanban, JIT, standard work, and visual management

  • Partner with leadership to support a culture of continuous improvement

  • Develop and document standard work with operations teams

  • Conduct time and motion studies to improve workflow and staffing models

  • Work closely with front-line teams to identify issues and implement improvements

  • Measure and report project results including ROI, cost savings, and efficiency gains

  • Use data and statistical tools (Pareto, SPC, trend analysis) to monitor performance

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering or Lean manufacturing

  • Proven experience leading Lean projects in an operational environment

  • Strong understanding of Lean principles in manufacturing or repair settings

  • Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks

  • Comfortable using data and analytics to support decision-making

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams

  • Self-starter able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $100,000 – $115,000 annually
