Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) is the world’s largest telematics service provider. Its mission is to make the world’s roads and drivers safer. The company’s AI-driven platform, DriveWell Fusion®, gathers sensor data from millions of IoT devices — including smartphones, proprietary Tags, connected vehicles, dashcams, and third-party devices — and fuses them with contextual data to create a unified view of vehicle and driver behavior. Auto insurers, automakers, commercial mobility companies, and the public sector use insights from CMT’s platform to power risk assessment, safety, claims, and driver improvement programs. Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, with offices in Budapest, Chennai, Seattle, Tokyo, and Zagreb, CMT measures and protects tens of millions of drivers across the world every day.

The goal of Crash & Claims is to fundamentally transform the insurance claims process by leveraging AI and generative AI to create a telematics-enabled Crash & Claims system. Goals include: automating the entire claims lifecycle, creating a modern, self-service consumer claims experience by seamlessly integrating with insurers' digital ecosystems, and expanding partnerships to enhance our crash detection capabilities. The Director will work closely with cross functional engineering and product teams across the company to help shape the product roadmap and advance CMT’s mission of safer roads and driving.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: The director works closely with product management, design, and other business units to define requirements, prioritize features, and ensure the engineering team is building the right things efficiently.
  • Communication: The director acts as a key communicator, reporting on engineering progress to executive leadership and stakeholders, while also ensuring clear communication within the engineering team.
  • Process Improvement: Define and optimize the software development lifecycle (SDLC), implementing changes in processes, incorporating practices in agile methodologies, code reviews, testing, and deployment processes as needed.
  • Innovation: Foster an environment of innovation, especially those in the AI/LLM space, by encouraging the exploration of new technologies and approaches to keep the product competitive and the team engaged.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks, such as security vulnerabilities, technical debt, and potential scalability bottlenecks, to ensure the long-term health of the product.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
