Job Summary:

The Global Distribution Summer Intern will support the Institutional and Wealth business management teams within Cohen & Steers' Global Distribution organization. This role provides exposure to the strategic, operational, and analytical functions that support the firm's distribution efforts across institutional and intermediary client channels.
The intern will gain hands-on experience working on projects related to business planning, reporting, data analysis, sales enablement, market intelligence, and process improvement. Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Supporting business management initiatives across Institutional and Wealth Distribution
  • Analyzing sales, client, and market data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Assisting with reporting, dashboard development, and business performance tracking
  • Supporting strategic projects focused on operational effectiveness and process improvement
  • Conducting market and competitive research
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations, business updates, and leadership materials
  • Supporting CRM and data management initiatives
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams including Sales, Client Service, Marketing, Product Strategy, Finance, Technology, and Operations
  • Contributing to special projects related to business planning, growth initiatives, and organizational effectiveness
  • Helping identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, and workflow efficiency

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate student with expected graduation date in 2028 pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment
  • Interest in financial services, asset management, business strategy, or sales enablement
  • Experience with AI tools is a plus
  • Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspective
  • Able to meet the firm's work arrangement policy in our New York City office (5 days in-office)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
  • Interest in institutional investing, wealth management, or financial markets.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, or professional experiences.
