Estimated Salary: $33/hour

 

Job Summary:

The Summer Associate will gain insight into developing and maintaining relationships with sophisticated institutional allocators (pension funds, endowments, foundations, etc.) where Cohen & Steers serves as an investment manager. The Relationship Management team partners with Sales, Consultant Relations, Investments, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Marketing and more, providing broad exposure to the firm and internal functions. The Summer Associate will participate in client meetings, calls and other engagements while supporting day-to-day client service activities. Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Assist team in the utilization and maintenance of client data across internal systems with an emphasis in Salesforce
  • Support the preparation of client meeting materials including PowerPoint presentations, meeting agendas, briefing memos, follow-up notes and action item tracking, competitor analysis, executive summaries, etc.
  • Assist in completion of client and consultant specific questionnaires and custom reports
  • Support with the production, review and delivery of client investment reports (performance, attribution, commentary, )
  • Leverage technology, CNS approved AI and other resources to recommend and create client service efficiencies
  • Special projects on ad-hoc basis

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate student with an expected graduation date in 2028
  • Self-starter with excellent follow-through and high degree of maturity and professionalism
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills emphasizing ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties
  • Skilled use of problem-solving, critical thinking and research abilities
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in deadline driven environment
  • Proficient in MS Office with emphasis on PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Comfortable with AI technology, CRM database (Salesforce), LinkedIn and related applications
  • Able to meet the firm's work arrangement policy in our New York City office (5 days in-office)
  • Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives

 

Beneficial Skills and Abilities: 

  • Some exposure and knowledge of financial services/asset management with an eagerness to learn more
  • Experience within a sales/client service/marketing environment
