Manager of Sales
Coast is re-imagining the trillion-dollar U.S. B2B card payments infrastructure, with a focus on the country’s 500,000 commercial fleets, 40 million commercial vehicles, and many million commercial drivers. The incumbent technologies that cater to these customers are decades old, and drivers and fleets increasingly demand modern digital experiences and affordable and transparent financial services products. Coast's mission is to deliver them at a transformational scale, beginning with the Coast Fleet and Fuel Card built on a cutting-edge spend management platform.
A Coast’s first AE Sales Manager in Salt Lake City, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by managing a team of Account Executives. Your focus will be on leveraging our cutting-edge spend management platform to deliver modern digital experiences and affordable, transparent financial services to commercial fleets and drivers. This is an exciting opportunity to lead sales efforts in a transformative space, starting with the launch of the Coast Fleet and Fuel Card.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of Account Executives.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, mentorship, and collaboration within the sales team.
- Revenue Growth:
- Drive the overall revenue growth for the Coast Fleet and Fuel Card product.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with product development and market trends.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by understanding their needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
- Work closely with customer support to address and resolve any issues promptly.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data and analytics to track sales performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Implement and refine sales processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on sales metrics and achievements.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6+ years of proven success in B2B sales, with a focus on financial services or related industries.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and developing a sales team.
- Deep understanding of the SMB/MM B2B sales motions, including the use of best-in-class techs stack and processes
- Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding payments infrastructure, B2B card payments, or related financial services a plus
- Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in the commercial fleet and vehicle sector is highly desirable.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strategic Thinking:
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that align with business goals.
- Strategic mindset with the capacity to identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
- Results-Driven:
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Track record of implementing data-driven decision-making processes.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree. MBA is a plus.
Compensation:
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits, signing bonus, and equity. Pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Coast employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Coast to fall healthily within the range based on these factors.
- On Target Earnings: $190,000 - $220,000 annually
- Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000 annually
- Performance bonus: $95,000 - $110,000 annually
- Equity grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company, with meaningful potential upside given the company’s early stage
