Field Marketing Manager
Role Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Field Marketing Manager to drive regional impact through high-value events. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and managing regional events—including conferences, summits, and executive dinners—to build brand awareness, generate leads, accelerate pipeline, and support new business acquisition and expansion within a set of target accounts.
The ideal candidate thrives on close collaboration with our Sr. Events Manager, Demand Generation team, Regional Sales teams, and Channel Partners, ensuring cohesive execution across all programs.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, organize, and execute a high-impact portfolio of regional events, including trade shows, industry conferences, customer roundtables, and executive workshops, working closely with the Sr. Events Manager.
- Manage all pre-event communications, on-site experience, and post-event follow-up, ensuring a seamless and professional brand presence.
- Oversee all logistical aspects of owned events, such as venue selection, vendor management, materials production, staffing coordination, and on-site execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment
- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with Regional Sales teams on events they are responsible for, ensuring marketing support, effective attendee recruitment, and coordinated follow-up to maximize pipeline generation from specific events.
- Channel Partner Engagement: Partner with Channel Account Managers to strategically identify, plan, and execute joint events, or determine Cobalt.io's participation in key partner-led events. Act as the marketing contact for partners regarding specific event coordination.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics and ROI (lead generation, pipeline impact, conversion rates, influenced ARR) for all regional events, adjusting tactics as needed to drive continuous improvement.
- Planning Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in using presentation software, specifically Google Slides, for mapping out and presenting strategic event plans.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, track spending, and ensure maximum impact and proper allocation of resources for all regional initiatives.
Content & Logistics
- Adapt corporate marketing content for regional relevance, creating localized collateral, signage, and digital promotions as needed.
- Collaborate with external vendors and agencies for seamless event coordination and execution.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity and B2B field marketing or demand generation, with a strong emphasis on planning and managing events and executing ABM campaigns.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely with Sales and Channel Partner teams on joint initiatives, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and ideally ABM-specific tools (e.g., 6sense).
- Writing & Communication: Exceptional written communication skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling and clear email copy for pre- and post-event communications, invitations, and follow-ups.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Analytical skills to track campaign performance, interpret data, and make data-driven decisions to optimize event strategies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
