
Division Leader - Ohio
Job Overview
As the Division Leader of a Cobalt Service Partners operating company, you will lead a mid-sized business through aggressively driving top and bottom-line growth. This key leadership position requires a strong blend of people management, leadership, financial acumen, and sales grit. Key Responsibilities
The Division Leader will focus on driving organic growth (i.e., EBITDA uplift) by executing the following responsibilities:
Drive Division Growth
- Own all top-line and bottom-line metrics: revenue, margin, backlog, contribution profit
- Build and manage a commercial engine: service growth, service agreements, cross-sell, upsell
- Drive pricing discipline and margin expansion across all lines of business
- Set and manage to the division scorecard, budget, and KPIs
- Leverage pipeline reviews and sales forecasting to manage revenue predictability
- Use data to identify commercial opportunities and make resource allocation decisions
- Possess expert knowledge of technology and industry pertaining to Division
Execute with Operational and Commercial Discipline
- Establish and refine operating rhythm across sales, service, and project delivery
- Align sales motion with fulfillment capacity to ensure operational follow through
- Coordinate, dispatch, techs, coordinators, and sales to deliver seamless end-to-end Customer Experience
- Forecast labor capacity, project timing, and revenue conversion cycles
- Balance short-term wins with long-term strategic growth
Lead and Develop Talent
- Build and retain a team of A-players across sales, service, and operations
- Inspire and coach field teams, project coordinators and sales reps to hit goals
- Instilling accountability, ownership, and urgency across all roles
- Develop successors and elevate internal talent
- Lead calmly under pressure and maintain high standards in all circumstances

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred)
- Track record of driving impact and exceeding measurable expectations in any context (proven experience in an SMB general management or senior leadership role preferred)
- Experience with FP&A (demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility strongly preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence in all directions
- Resourceful and scrappy; eager to roll up sleeves and get the job done
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making
- High EQ and interest in people management (including hiring, training, and development)
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities
- Experience with or deep respect for the trades

Salary Notes
The annualized cash compensation for this role is expected to be between $125,000 and $150,000, plus a targeted $50,000 annual bonus. Actual base + bonus pay may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and the applicant’s skill set. Additional rewards include LTI and a comprehensive benefits package.
