Our leadership team combines deep operating experience with disciplined investment practices, and we are building a platform designed to scale through both organic growth and M&A.

  • Love learning: We’re always learning as individuals, as a team, and as a business. We show up humble, curious, and with the courage to change our minds.
  • Enjoy the ride: We’re fired up by our mission, love our team, and don’t take either for granted. We show up authentically, assume best intent, and try not to take ourselves too seriously.

Position Overview

The Systems Integration Lead is responsible for orchestrating the integration of Cobalt’s core technology stack—specifically ERP and HRIS systems—across partner companies while serving as the primary point of coordination among key stakeholders. This role not only owns end-to-end integration execution ensuring teams are equipped to operate effectively on the new systems but also acts as the platform technical lead implementing enhancements, training users, and troubleshooting difficult technical issues.

Success in this role enables Cobalt’s partner companies to leverage a scalable, standardized, and insight-driven technology foundation that supports operational excellence, data-backed decision-making, and long-term enterprise value creation. The Systems Integration Lead operates as a trusted representative of Cobalt, working closely with partner company leadership, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver high-quality, repeatable integrations in a fast-paced, highly fragmented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and actively manage ERP and HRIS integrations across multiple partner companies, including planning, sequencing, dependencies, and go-live execution
  • Deliver integrations on schedule with minimal disruption to operations, payroll, financial close, and reporting
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for integration timelines, risks, and outcomes, providing clear weekly status updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure core systems are correctly linked and data flows reliably across ERP, HRIS, finance, payroll, and related platforms
  • Define, enforce, and maintain Cobalt data standards, taxonomies, and integration best practices across all implementations
  • Partner closely with functional leaders to translate business requirements into system configurations, workflows, and integration logic
  • Lead training and change management efforts, ensuring strong adoption, adherence to SOPs, and a positive partner company experience
  • Act as a trusted advisor to partner company CEOs and leadership teams throughout the integration process
  • Continuously improve integration speed, quality, and repeatability by maintaining and evolving Cobalt’s integration playbooks and documentation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading or supporting complex systems integrations, with meaningful exposure to ERP and/or HRIS platforms in a multi-entity or scaling organization
  • Hands-on experience integrating enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, HRIS, finance, payroll, CRM, or operational platforms), including ownership of timelines, dependencies, and go-live execution
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into system configurations, workflows, and integration logic
  • Experience operating in environments with ambiguity, limited structure, or rapid growth (private equity–backed, highly fragmented, or multi-location businesses strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple integrations in parallel while maintaining quality, stakeholder trust, and clear communication
  • Strong change management and training orientation, with experience driving user adoption of new systems and processes
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with executives, operators, technical teams, and third-party vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant advanced degree or certifications a plus

Core Competencies

  • Leads & Influences Without Authority: Drives cross-functional outcomes through trust, influence, and effective change management
  • Structured Problem Solver & Communicator: Synthesizes complex technical and operational topics into clear, actionable executive communications
  • Independent Operator with Bias for Action: Navigates ambiguity, prioritizes effectively, and takes decisive action aligned with Cobalt’s values
  • Builds Trust in Complex Environments: Operates with credibility across CSP, partner companies, and external vendors
  • Grit & Ownership: Perseveres through challenges, takes accountability for outcomes, and continually drives improvement
  • Learns Relentlessly & Applies Quickly: Continuously seeks to understand new systems, business models, and integration patterns, rapidly translating learnings into practical improvements across implementations.

Compensation and Timing

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Cobalt offers a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, 401(k) match, and flexible time off. Cobalt is looking to add this role in the near term as a critical investment in the company’s future.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
