What we are looking for:

We are looking for a VP of Product – Payouts to lead the strategy, development, and execution of Cobre’s payouts products. This role combines strong product leadership with deep technical and operational understanding of payments, working closely with customers, internal teams, and external providers to deliver reliable, scalable, and customer-centric solutions.

You will own the payouts product end-to-end, from vision and roadmap to execution and performance, ensuring alignment between business needs, technical feasibility, and operational excellence.

 

What would you be doing:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Cobre’s payouts products.
  • Lead the design and development of payout solutions, working closely with Engineering, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams.
  • Act as the bridge between technical and operational teams, ensuring products are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Work closely with customers to deeply understand their payout needs, pain points, and workflows, translating insights into product improvements.
  • Manage relationships with payment providers, banks, and external partners, collaborating on integrations, performance, and product evolution.
  • Define and monitor product KPIs (reliability, speed, cost, adoption, customer satisfaction).
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and operational requirements in markets such as Colombia and Mexico.
  • Drive continuous improvement of payout processes, APIs, and user experiences.
  • Mentor and guide product managers and cross-functional stakeholders as the product organization grows.

 

What do you need:

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of payouts, payments, or money movement systems (e.g., bank transfers, SPEI, ACH, APIs, reconciliation, settlement).
  • Proven experience working with technical teams and understanding system architecture, APIs, and integrations.
  • Solid operational mindset, with experience designing or running payment operations at scale.
  • Experience working directly with customers and external providers (banks, PSPs, payment networks).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Latin American fintech, especially in Colombia and/or Mexico.
  • Background in engineering, operations, or technical roles prior to product management.
  • Experience building B2B financial products or platforms.
