What we are looking for:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Transactional Monitoring Analyst to join our Compliance team. This role is responsible for monitoring financial transactions to detect unusual or suspicious activity, supporting risk mitigation efforts, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, critical thinking capabilities, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
What would you be doing:
- Monitor financial transactions and retrospectively to detect unusual, suspicious, or high-risk activity.
- Conduct detailed analysis of transaction patterns, behavioral trends, and system-generated alerts.
- Investigate alerts and document findings clearly, supporting decisions with structured and critical reasoning.
- Contribute to the development, calibration, and continuous improvement of risk matrices and monitoring parameters.
- Prepare internal reports for case tracking, management visibility, and regulatory reporting purposes.
- Support due diligence teamcompliance reviews, and control assessments.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Fraud teams to escalate or resolve complex cases.
- Ensure proper case documentation aligned with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
- Identify trends and propose process improvements to enhance monitoring effectiveness.
What do you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or related fields.
- 1–3 years of experience in transaction monitoring, AML, compliance, or risk management (preferably in fintech or financial services).
- Familiarity with AML/CFT frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Experience working with monitoring systems and case management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of local and international AML regulations.
- Experience in fintech or digital payments environments.
- Advanced Excel or data analysis skills.
- Advanced level of English
