What we are looking for:

We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Director of Finance to lead our accounting, financial planning, reporting, and capital markets activities. This key executive will oversee accounting functions, develop and execute debt capital raising strategies, and ensure compliance with financial regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be instrumental in scaling our financial operations, managing investor relations, and positioning the company for sustainable growth.

What would you be doing:

Financial Planning & Analysis: 

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.  
• Provide insights on financial performance, variances, and operational metrics.

Accounting & Financial Controls:

• Oversee all accounting functions ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local and international standards  
• Manage audit processes, internal controls, and financial reporting.

Capital Markets & Fundraising:

• Support negotiations for funding rounds, debt facilities, and strategic partners.

Regulatory & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with local regulations in all operating countries.  
• Coordinate with legal and regulatory teams for licensing, reporting, and disclosures.

Product and Operations Support:

• Support and lead conversations with Product and Operations teams to build Financial and Accounting principles into new products and operational flows

Team Leadership:

• Build and develop a high-performing finance team, including accounting, FP&A, and treasury functions.  
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What do you need:

• Proven experience in senior finance roles within fintech, payments, or financial services, with a strong understanding of capital markets.  
• Extensive background in accounting, compliance, and financial reporting across LATAM and US jurisdictions.  
• Demonstrated success in capital raising, and navigating capital markets.  
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.  
• Advanced financial modeling and analysis capability.  
• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.  
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
