Compliance Analyst

Bogotá, Colombia

What is Cobre and what do we do?

Cobre is Latin America’s leading instant b2b payments platform. We solve the region’s most complex money movement challenges by building advanced financial infrastructure that enables companies to move money faster, safer, and more efficiently.

We enable instant business payments—local or international, direct or via API—all from a single platform.

Built for fintechs, PSPs, banks, and finance teams that demand speed, control, and efficiency. From real-time payments to automated treasury, we turn complex financial processes into simple experiences.

Cobre is the first platform in Colombia to enable companies to pay both banked and unbanked beneficiaries within the same payment cycle and through a single interface.

We are building the enterprise payments infrastructure of Latin America!

What we are looking for:

As a Compliance & Due Diligence Analyst / Compliance Officer, you will play a dual role at Cobre: you will serve as our designated Compliance Officer before the Colombian regulatory authorities (SFC/UIAF), while also being the hands-on owner of our AML/CFT framework. You will lead counterparty due diligence, drive the continuous improvement of our SARLAFT/SAGRILAFT controls, and be the main point of contact for all compliance matters in Colombia.

What would you be doing:

  • Compliance Officer: act as Cobre’s designated Compliance Officer for SAGRILAFT and PTEE, before the Supersociedades, UIAF, and other Colombian regulatory authorities; sign and submit mandatory regulatory reports (ROS, RTE, REFTE); represent the company in regulatory inspections and information requests; and maintain the official compliance register required by law.
  • Counterparty due diligence (DD & DDI): client onboarding and periodic reviews, verifying documentation and identifying ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs).
  • Screening: validation against sanctions lists (OFAC, UN, EU), PEPs, adverse media, and local regulatory lists (UIAF, SFC, among others).
  • Policies & procedures: support the development, documentation, and enhancement of SARLAFT / SAGRILAFT and PTEE controls.
  • Reporting: preparation of internal compliance reports and support for regulatory filings (STRs/UIAF).
  • Research & analysis: support in identifying new typologies, regulatory updates, and risk assessments.

What do you need:

  • Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • 3+ years of experience in Compliance, AML/CFT, or Risk — including at least 1 year in a role eligible to serve as Compliance Officer under Colombian regulation (banking, fintech, or payments sector).
  • Eligible and willing to be designated as Compliance Officer before the SFC: no regulatory sanctions, no criminal record, and meets the professional profile required under the SARLAFT regulation (Circular Básica Jurídica, Chapter XI).
  • Knowledge of SARLAFT, SAGRILAFT, PTEE and the Colombian regulatory framework.
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • Advanced level of English
