Codal is seeking a highly-skilled Associate Engineer Lead. In this role, you will manage the architecture and evolution of solutions for our diverse client base. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a small focused team of engineers.
We’ll need you to provide thought leadership and make significant technological decisions that modernize and maintain our systems and practices. Working alongside our product management team, you will help scope incoming project opportunities, make architecture recommendations, and solve challenges for our clients with the best available technologies.
As a Lead Fullstack Engineer, you will make recommendations and decisions throughout project life cycles on technology, frameworks, and approaches. We’ll need you to have excellent communication skills to effectively articulate these decisions to clients, as well as our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Guiding engineers on enterprise technologies and solutions
- Facilitating and leading client project scope discussions with the ability to understand and articulate the business impact of proposed solutions
- Leveraging new and emerging technologies to fulfill project requirements and business objectives
- Mapping project requirements to technical tasks for the engineering team
- Writing and reviewing software code
- Writing client-readable technical architecture documentation
- Enforcing development best practices with the engineering team – proper code branching, code reviews, unit tests, and environment setup
- Leading all phases of software development including design, development, testing, and support
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on development experience in React/Next and Node
- Hands-on experience with REST & GraphQL API integration
- Able to write clear, well structured and optimized Typescript code
- Regularly writes and uses unit test frameworks such as Jest
- Hands-on development experience in AWS and/or GCP Cloud Services; comfortable writing and setting up serverless functions and containerized services
- Familiarity with microservices architectures
- Familiarity with dev tools such as Github, Jira, CFT, Terraform
- DB experience with relational or noSQL such as PostgreSQL, , MySQL, Redshift, MongoDB, Redis
- Familiarity with cloud-based logging, monitoring, and security tools
Benefits and Salary
- $140,000.00- $190,000.00, the rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
