Senior Strategist, Paid Social

Anywhere in the United States

Location: Remote (East Coast hours preferred)

Code3 is an integrated marketing agency built for the modern consumer journey. We sit at the intersection of Connected Media, Creative, and Commerce, helping some of the world's most recognized brands and fastest-growing challengers turn attention into business growth.

Paid social has evolved far beyond media buying. Success today requires understanding consumer behavior, creative performance, platform innovation, and how culture influences the way people discover and buy products. Our team partners with clients to build full funnel strategies that connect all of those pieces—combining data, creativity, testing, and measurement to drive meaningful business results.

We believe the best ideas come from people who are endlessly curious, willing to challenge conventional thinking, and excited to experiment. We work collaboratively across media, creative, measurement, strategy, and platform partnerships to continuously push our clients and ourselves forward.

About the Role

As a Senior Paid Social Strategist, you'll serve as the strategic lead across a portfolio of clients, helping shape how some of today's most recognizable consumer brands grow through paid social platforms including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.

You'll develop full funnel media strategies, uncover new testing opportunities, guide creative direction through performance insights, and translate complex data into clear business recommendations. You'll partner closely with client strategy, measurement, creative, and platform teams to deliver integrated solutions that move beyond campaign performance and drive measurable business growth.

Success in this role requires equal parts analytical thinking, creative curiosity, and commercial acumen. You'll understand not only how campaigns perform, but why they perform – and how consumer behavior, creative, cultural moments, and emerging platform capabilities can create new opportunities for your clients.

As a senior member of the team, you'll also help mentor junior strategists, contribute to our team's evolution, and champion a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and experimentation.

What you’ll do:

  • Own day-to-day paid social strategy across key accounts, including planning, testing, optimizations, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Develop full funnel media strategies that balance brand building and performance, aligning investment to business objectives and customer behavior.
  • Analyze campaign performance across platforms and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations that improve business outcomes.
  • Partner closely with creative teams and clients to shape creative strategy, identifying winning concepts, testing opportunities, and optimization recommendations through performance data.
  • Understand consumer trends, cultural moments, and platform behaviors to help brands show up in relevant and authentic ways.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and platform partners to bring innovative ideas to clients, including alpha/beta opportunities, new measurement solutions, and emerging platform capabilities.
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, retail and eCommerce trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities before they become best practice.
  • Lead the creation of clear, compelling storytelling through presentations, POVs, and executive-ready performance summaries.
  • Mentor junior team members and help elevate strategic thinking and execution across the team.

Who will love this role

  • A self-starter who brings structure and clarity to ambiguity
  • A naturally curious strategist who loves understanding why people buy – not just how campaigns perform
  • Someone who enjoys connecting data, creative, culture, and consumer behavior to drive better marketing decisions
  • A data-driven decision maker who gets excited about testing, learning, and continuous optimization
  • Someone with grit who can juggle multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and stay solution-oriented

You should have

  • 4+ years of experience managing paid social campaigns, including hands-on buying within platform UIs
  • Experience developing full funnel media strategies for eCommerce or consumer brands, balancing awareness, consideration, and conversion objectives while still achieving business goals
  • Deep expertise across at least four major paid social platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of creative best practices and a demonstrated ability to use performance data to inform creative strategy and testing
  • Awareness of consumer, retail, and cultural trends, with the ability to identify timely opportunities for brands to participate authentically
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear business recommendations
  • Excellent presentation and client communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables required)
  • Digital marketing certifications (Meta Blueprint, TikTok Media Buying, Google Analytics, etc.) are a plus

Perks and Benefits:

  • Full medical and dental benefits and generous retirement program
  • Thoughtful parental leave and staggered return program
  • Flexible Time Off, holidays, quarterly Company “Recharge” Days, and holiday closure in December
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Commitment to transparent DE&I practices

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
