Paid Social Strategist

Remote within US Eastern Time Zone only, NYC strongly preferred

Code3 is an integrated marketing agency built for the modern consumer journey. We sit at the intersection of Connected Media, Creative, and Commerce, helping some of the world's most recognized brands and fastest-growing challengers turn attention into business growth.

Paid social has evolved far beyond media buying. Success today requires understanding consumer behavior, creative performance, platform innovation, and how culture influences the way people discover and buy products. Our team partners with clients to build full funnel strategies that connect all of those pieces—combining data, creativity, testing, and measurement to drive meaningful business results.

We believe the best ideas come from people who are endlessly curious, willing to challenge conventional thinking, and excited to experiment. We work collaboratively across media, creative, measurement, strategy, and platform partnerships to continuously push our clients and ourselves forward.

About the Role

As a Paid Social Strategist, you’ll own the day-to-day strategic direction and performance of paid social programs across a portfolio of clients. You’ll serve as a trusted client partner, turning data into actionable recommendations, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring our strategies continuously evolve alongside consumer behavior, creative performance, and the platforms themselves.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the day-to-day paid social strategy and performance narrative for your accounts, connecting media performance to broader client goals
  • Develop full-funnel strategies across platforms, including budget allocation, platform roles, audiences, campaign structure, creative, and optimization priorities
  • Serve as a trusted client-facing expert, proactively bringing forward recommendations, opportunities, and clear points of view
  • Analyze performance to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities, translating data into clear insights and actionable next steps
  • Develop learning agendas and testing roadmaps across creative, media, audiences, measurement, and emerging platform opportunities
  • Partner with Activation and cross-functional teams to ensure execution aligns with strategy, providing hands-on campaign and QA support when needed
  • Maintain strong operational ownership across budget pacing, forecasting, campaign accuracy, and overall account health
  • Build strong relationships with platform partners to identify strategic opportunities, new capabilities, and ways to continuously advance client programs

Who will love this role:

  • You’re curious and naturally dig into why performance is changing and what to do next
  • You enjoy being a strategic partner to clients and are comfortable bringing a clear recommendation or point of view
  • You balance data, creative, platform knowledge, and business context when making decisions
  • You’re proactive and consistently identify opportunities without waiting to be asked
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and client pressure
  • You’re a people person who enjoys building strong relationships with your team, partners, and clients

You should have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on paid social experience across a minimum of four major social platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, LinkedIn, or YouTube
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop paid social strategies and recommendations based on client goals, performance, and business context
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose performance and turn data into a clear strategic narrative
  • Experience owning client communication and confidently presenting plans, performance insights, and recommendations
  • Strong understanding of full-funnel paid social strategy, creative testing, measurement, and platform best practices
  • Strong budget management, forecasting, and organizational skills with a high degree of accountability and attention to detail
  • Ability to take initial direction and quickly transition to an independent, proactive working style
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including comfort working with pivot tables and large datasets; platform and digital marketing certifications are a plus

Perks and Benefits:

  • Full medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as generous retirement program

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
