Human Resources Generalist

Job Description

We are looking for a detailed oriented Human Resources Generalist with some experience in HR including in hiring, interviewing staff, on and off boarding,  administering pay, benefits, and leave,  implementing a performance management system, employee engagement,training and enforcing company policies and practice to join our Core team. As a member of our 100% remote workspace, an ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about CS&S mission, believes in the value of providing high quality services to the teams CS&S supports has a passion for HR and a desire to grow these skills at CS&S.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage relationship with Human Resource and payroll provider (both US and international) including payroll data preparation
  • Input new hires and terminations, analyze, prepare, input payroll data and create  payroll reports
  • Facilitate recruiting, interviewing, and offering the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers and FSP to understand skills and competencies required for openings.  Coordinate interviews for CS&S and FSP’s.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications, including I-9 and e-Verify.
  • Responsible for on-boarding of new employees including offer letters, creating and maintaining personnel files, providing information on benefits etc.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management;recognition, and engagement; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Manage and respond to inquiries received in the HR email. 
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • At least two years of human resource management experience.
  • Prior experience working with international teams is a plus.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What we offer:

 

The pay range for this role is USD $55,000 - $65,000 per year.

 

The range above reflects the potential base pay in the US for this role. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
