Senior Manager, Student and University Outreach - Northeast
CodePath is a national non-profit that is reprogramming higher education to create the most diverse generation of software engineers, CTOs, and founders. We deliver industry-vetted courses and career support centered on the needs of Black, Latino/a, Indigenous, and low-income students. Our students train with senior engineers, intern at top companies, and rise together to become the tech leaders of tomorrow. As of 2023, we've served 10,000 students a year nationwide, and we plan to scale up to ~100,000 students a year by 2028.
Founded in 2017, CodePath has taught over 26,000 students and delivered courses across over 110 universities. We are supported by some of the largest and most well-respected organizations, including Amazon, Andreessen Horowitz, Blue Meridian Partners, Comcast, Google, JP Morgan Chase, Knight Foundation, Meta, New Profit, and Salesforce, among others. About the Role
Location: Remote, U.S. – NYC Metro Area Residence Required for In-Person Events as Needed

Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 per year
CodePath is at an inflection point as we launch our 5-year strategic plan to scale our organization in its next phase of exponential growth in order to increase our impact from 10,000 students to 100,000 students served annually. Over the last few years, New York & the Northeast has emerged as one of the largest regions of CodePath students. With 232 higher education institutions, more than 72,000 CS students, and only 1% market penetration to date, CodePath must build a regional outreach strategy in the Northeast that builds in momentum over time, allowing for exponential, non-linear growth to achieve our ambitious goals.
To accomplish this, CodePath is hiring a Senior Manager, Student and University Outreach for the Northeast to supercharge our student enrollment growth trajectory and lay the foundations of a regional flywheel. By developing champions at higher education institutions, leading organic growth through student channels, and executing marketing playbooks, the Senior Manager Student and University Outreach will lead CodePath’s student enrollment growth and market penetration in the Northeast.
We are looking for someone who is skillful in building student focused ecosystems that comprise of students, corporations, faculty and local community organizations to drive student enrollment. To be successful in this role you’ll need to be someone who is energized by going onto campus to talk directly to students and faculty, who enjoys designing and executing student facing events and marketing campaigns to build brand awareness and loyalty, and takes great pride in the impact of their work.
Key Activities
Market Penetration & Growth

Grow awareness of CodePath's programs and brand among all New York & Northeast CS students to drive regional enrollment growth

Deepen CodePath's brand and program awareness at key universities to enroll over 15% of the CS student population

Organize info sessions and awareness campaigns at target universities with Tech Fellows

Manage student recruitment initiatives including digital outreach, on-campus events, and event attendance. Set and track enrollment goals.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate logistics of executing programs
Community Engagement

Recruit, train, and manage Tech Fellows for on-campus marketing activities to foster community and reach enrollment targets

Identify and attend events at conferences or campus visits as a local ambassador for CodePath
Relationship Building

Lay the groundwork for deeper partnerships by connecting student and faculty champions; support onboarding of new for-credit university programs

Cultivate relationships with corporate and funder partners for regional success

Connect with community organizations that can facilitate our expansion in the region

Collaborate closely with our for-credit partnerships team to grow higher education relationships toward deeper engagement
Key Success Metrics

2x the number of New York and Northeast students YoY for the Spring 2025 semester

Enroll 24,000 students nationally in 2025 with at least 40% BLI and 60% underserved

Grow at least 7 new schools to over 10% penetration focused in priority expansion regions and building a repeatable marketing playbook for sustainable growth

Drive 14x student enrollment growth in New York and the Northeast by 2028

Develop at least 1 champion from various levels of University systems (Provost/Dean, CS Chair, Faculty, Staff, Student organizations etc.) at all 68 target higher education institutions
Qualifications

Self-starter with a drive for results and passion for growth. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done

Experience executing targeted campaigns that effectively engage CS student populations through both digital and traditional channels to maximize reach and engagement

Track record of fostering partnerships with local organizations and community groups to enhance visibility and drive student recruitment

Proven ability to cultivate long-term partnerships with university stakeholders to advocate for CodePath’s initiatives

Track record of scaling programs in a higher education environment

Knowledge of the higher education market in NYC and Northeast

Strong communication and writing skills

Experience managing Partner Relationships

Experience with Hubspot or related marketing automation tools

Passion for equity, education, and social impact
- This is a remote position; however, residing in the NYC Metro Area is required, as the role involves regular visits to local universities and engagement with students in the area

Compensation
CodePath has standardized salaries based on the position’s level, no matter where you live. For this role, we’re hiring for a Senior Manager level position at an annual salary of $110,000 to $150,000. Salary is determined based on your relevant experience and skills as evaluated through our interview process.
