Our partners include Amazon, Google, Meta, and 4,000+ companies across the industry. We’ve been training the next generation of technical talent for nearly a decade, and we just launched a $150M initiative with Anthropic, building one of the most ambitious AI workforce programs in the world.
We're now expanding into new markets and scaling our team so we can move at the speed AI is transforming the workforce. People joining CodePath now will have the opportunity to help architect the next frontier of our work.
We are building toward millions of learners, hundreds of millions in revenue, and billions in economic impact for a generation of technical talent who have historically been locked out of tech. CIR Instructors do not just teach computer science; they change the trajectory of students who are one great class away from believing they belong in tech.
As a CIR Instructor, you will step into a university classroom as a full, institution-backed instructor. You’ll bring your industry experience directly to students in their first computer science course, teaching live and in person, delivering CodePath's industry-aligned curriculum in Python, Java, or C++, with thoughtful integration of AI into how students learn and problem-solve.
CodePath provides training, onboarding, and ongoing support. Your host university plugs you into faculty mentorship and a collaborative teaching environment. You will build trust on campus, unlock confidence in students, and help shape what CS education looks like at your institution.
This is a full-immersion role. It starts with training in July 2026 and runs through the Fall semester on campus, ending in December 2026. It's best suited for engineers who are local to their assigned university or able to relocate, and who are ready to make the most meaningful semester of their career.
Key Responsibilities
-
Training & Development: Attend summer onboarding sessions to build proficiency with CodePath’s teaching tools and instructional strategies before the semester begins

Additional Instruction: Support additional CodePath courses and programs with partner universities as a Lead Instructor (as capacity allows)

-
Teaching Assistant Leadership: Manage, mentor, and support Teaching Assistants (Tech Fellows) where applicable. These are advanced students who assist part-time (approx. 1:20 TF-to-student ratio at select sites)
-
Office Hours: Hold regular in-person office hours and actively encourage student participation
-
Partnership: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., CodePath Outreach and Program Managers) and external partners (e.g., faculty mentors and university administrators) to ensure alignment with program goals
-
Deliver Impact beyond the classroom: Integrate enrichment components like technical interview prep workshops and promote use of CodePath’s Career Center resources
-
Outreach: Partner with Campus Outreach teams to support and promote CodePath courses through on-campus engagement initiatives
-
Community-building: Foster a strong CIR community by participating in regular cohort calls, contributing to discussions, and sharing insights and resources
-
