The Role
The successful candidate is a self-motivated, resilient sales professional who can identify real opportunities and win business through a conversational, consultative approach with senior decision-makers.
This role is ideal for someone who brings strong sales fundamentals, strategic account thinking, and the grit to operate in a fast-moving, evolving AdTech environment. As a close-knit company, a competitive spirit, strong ownership mindset, and cultural alignment are essential to success.
Location
This position will work out of our New York City office with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office (Mon/Tue/Wed) and 2 days remote (Thursday/Friday).
What You’ll Do
- Prospect, pitch and close new business with brands, performance & DTC marketers
- Master pitching a constantly evolving and growing portfolio of products and markets
- Collaborate with marketing to create effective decks and sales collateral materials
- Evangelize and educate the marketplace about a hot new technology
- Network at trade shows and conferences to raise Cognitiv’s profile as the industry leader
- Collaborate with our partners in Ad Ops and Tech teams to execute best in class campaigns

- Clear, compelling storytelling and pitching tailored to senior buyers

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Account Executive in online advertising
- Experience selling RTB, programmatic, or Ad Network solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-performance environments
- High emotional, intellectual, and situational intelligence
- Passion for startup culture and helping shape a growing company
Preferred Qualifications
- Performance media sales experience
- Existing relationships with agencies, brands, or performance marketers
- Familiarity with DSPs, PMPs, managed service vs. self-serve models, and the agency landscape
Salary
- $120,000-$135,000 Base Salary + Double and Equity
