Manager, Marketing

We’re a cognitive science company on a mission to optimize the measurement of brain health to advance the development of new medicines and to enable earlier clinical insights in healthcare.

That’s why we’re seeking a Marketing Manager, accountable for developing and executing innovative multi-channel marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, generate high-quality leads and support business development in growing market share of cognitive assessment services within the pharmaceutical clinical trial segment. 

This includes leading content development, event management (conferences and webinars), and digital marketing campaigns (email, social, website, etc.) in conjunction with the Senior Marketing Manager and by orchestrating the efforts of cross-functional internal and external resources

This role requires a strong interest in neuroscience drug development and the ability to translate complex scientific services into compelling marketing campaigns. Success in this role will be achieved by exhibiting proactive personal initiative and outcomes thinking, ability to quickly learn Cogstate’s business model and offerings, and leveraging a range of modern marketing tools and approaches to effectively promote Cogstate’s capabilities to drive growth for the company. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Propose and maintain campaign strategies and related content calendar/plans with topics and content types aligned with business objectives.
  • Independently drive the production and writing of marketing content, including blog posts, brochures, social media updates, newsletters, email campaigns, and whitepapers.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop thought leadership content, exhibiting knowledge of Cogstate solutions, strong interviewing skills, and copywriting skills to produce clear and compelling marketing messages aligned to the brand voice.
  • Maintain and foster deep awareness of target audience needs and key buying decision criteria; create materials that speak to those needs.
  • Develop and deliver social media calendar aligned with business messaging objectives.
  • Develop and deliver digital advertising programs in line with campaign objectives.
  • Manage email marketing efforts including drafting and programming emails, announcements, lead nurturing campaigns, event invitations, and newsletters.
  • Support Cogstate’s website development through strong copywriting, use of modern web technologies and collaboration with SMEs (liaising with science, operations, graphic design, web developers).
  • Lead the organization of company participation in industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and other corporate functions.
  • Manage event logistics, registrations, pre- and post-event promotions, and Business Development efforts to generate customer meetings.
  • Attend key conferences in-person to support operational and on-site event needs.
  • Manage the corporate webinar program by working with SME presenters on activities including topic development, abstract writing, promotional efforts, presentation development, and logistical support through to follow-up assignment with Business Development.
  • Partner with science and business development team to utilize business intelligence platforms to conduct market research and identify and nurture new leads (e.g., Apollo, Zymewire, Clinicaltrials.gov).
  • Collaborate with science, business development, and proposals colleagues to create marketing messages for capabilities presentations, sales collateral, Request for Information (RFIs), and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Act as a system administrator to optimize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) processes and technologies, including Salesforce.com and Act-on.com; Ensure continuous improvement of system configurations and data accuracy regarding accounts, contacts, leads, campaigns, and segmentation.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans and programs to generate and nurture new leads.
  • Support needs of other departments and channel partners, specifically in the realm of content development and marketing operations.
  • Supporting internal corporate communications, including leadership messaging and town hall meetings.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for project and vendor management.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • 7+ years in B2B marketing or related role
  • Demonstrated proficiency and ability to write science-focused content for marketing materials (ex: blogs, whitepapers, brochures, website content, etc.)
  • Experience leading the organization of company attendance at corporate events or tradeshows
  • Experience running reports, creating dashboards and tracking data with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Worked closely with and supported high-value complex B2B sales teams, preferable in the life sciences field
  • Developed and executed multi-faceted marketing plans using modern tools and automation technologies to scale efforts


Skills, Knowledge and Specialist Expertise

  • Deep proclivity for independent development of written communication in many forms including emails, blogs, website content, social media posts, and whitepapers; capable of conveying complex concepts in simplified, easy to understand, and digestible terms.
  • Strong digital marketing aptitude (SEO, social media, etc.); able to support marketing operations with knowledge of Salesforce, Act-on, and other technology applications.
  • Customer service oriented; able to support various corporate departments and work collaboratively with external vendors and partners; experience working with sales teams and an interest and mindset for enhancing sales efforts and success.
  • Keen attention to detail, highly organized, able to effectively prioritize activities to support multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to personal development and career progression.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with webinar production and webinar hosting platforms are a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, google advertising, and google analytics are a plus.
  • Comfortable with being in a nearly 100% remote working environment.

Wage Range

$100,000 - $115,000 USD
