That’s why we’re seeking a Technical Support & Deployment Specialist accountable for providing high-quality technical support across the organization while owning device imaging, deployment, and hardware lifecycle management. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, configuring and deploying endpoints, and ensuring all devices meet company security and operational standards. The position requires a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting capability, experience with Windows imaging and endpoint management, and a disciplined approach to documentation and process adherence.

This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance at Cogstate's headquarters in New Haven, CT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for internal users and external sites (onsite and remote).
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across endpoints.
  • Troubleshoot Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately and contribute to root cause analysis.
  • Build, maintain, and deploy standardized Windows images.
  • Configure and provision laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Manage full device lifecycle (procurement, staging, deployment, refresh, decommission).
  • Ensure devices comply with security baselines and company standards.
  • Support MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, JAMF or equivalent).
  • Perform hardware diagnostics, repair coordination, and replacement.
  • Configure and validate hardware to meet operational requirements.
  • Install and support endpoints, peripherals, and office IT equipment.
  • Assist with testing and validation of specialized or site-specific equipment where required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for device builds, configurations, and support procedures.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and changes in the ticketing system.
  • Create and update SOPs, knowledge base articles, and technical guides.
  • Track asset inventory and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • 2–4+ years of experience in IT support or desktop support roles
  • Proven experience with Windows image creation and deployment (required)
  • Experience with device provisioning and endpoint management
  • Strong background in hardware troubleshooting and support
  • Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and mobile devices
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365 and Azure AD / Entra ID environment.
  • Experience with MDM solutions such as Intune, JAMF, or similar

Skills, Knowledge and Specialist Expertise

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and applications
  • Experience with Windows imaging technologies (Autopilot, MDT, SCCM, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of device lifecycle and asset management practices
  • Understanding of endpoint security, patching, and configuration management
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, connectivity troubleshooting)
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical users
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell preferred, not required)

Wage Range

$70,000 - $80,000 USD
