Overview:

The Executive Director, Commercial Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the enterprise-wide analytics strategy supporting U.S. commercial operations. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, and Medical Affairs to enable data-driven decision-making, optimize commercial performance, and inform strategic direction.

This role will lead the development of a scalable and integrated analytics ecosystem spanning data strategy, advanced analytics, incentive design, and performance measurement across the product lifecycle. The Executive Director will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring analytics insights are actionable and directly influence key business decisions.


Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Impact

  • Serve as a senior analytics advisor to the SVP of Commercial Operations and executive leadership team
  • Define and lead the enterprise commercial analytics strategy aligned with corporate priorities
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform commercial and market access strategies
  • Lead analytics support for product launches, including targeting, performance tracking, and optimization
  • Drive lifecycle analytics, including growth opportunities, competitive dynamics, and revenue erosion

Sales Force Effectiveness & Incentive Strategy

  • Lead sales force sizing, alignment, and productivity optimization initiatives
  • Oversee incentive compensation design, modeling, governance, and ongoing performance evaluation
  • Direct targeting strategy for field teams and non-personal promotion channels
  • Deliver dashboards and insights to support field performance management and executive reviews

Data Strategy & Technology Enablement

  • Own and evolve the commercial data strategy, integrating internal and external data assets
  • Lead development and enhancement of data infrastructure, including data warehouse, reporting tools, and analytics platforms
  • Ensure compliant, scalable data processes that support CRM systems and reporting needs

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Finance to align analytics with business objectives
  • Manage relationships with external data vendors and analytics partners
  • Evaluate and onboard new data sources, tools, and methodologies to advance analytic capabilities

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in commercial analytics, sales operations, or related roles within pharma/biotech
  • Deep experience in oncology strongly preferred
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, claims data, epidemiology datasets)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level decision-making
  • Proven leadership track record building, scaling, and developing high-performing teams
  • Executive presence with strong stakeholder influence skills
  • Strategic mindset paired with deep business acumen
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • High emotional intelligence with a collaborative leadership style

 

The Base Salary Range for this position is $250,000 to $290,000. Coherus considers various factors, including professional background and work experience, when determining base pay. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
