The Opportunity

About the Role & Consensus

Held since 2015, Consensus is the only festival showcasing and celebrating all sides of the blockchain, crypto, and Web 3 ecosystems, and their wide-reaching effect on commerce, culture, and communities. Each year, Consensus brings tens of thousands of attendees together to hear from sought-after thought leaders and experience a wide range of discussions, meetings, parties, music performances, dinners, experiences, and much more. In 2025, we will launch Consensus Hong Kong & Consensus Toronto

Our Partner Account Management team is engages directly with our event sponsors throughout the entire full event lifecycle and act as a key point of contact for sponsor representatives to ensure all pre-event & post-event deliverables are met within agreed-upon timeframes. To be successful in this role, you must be highly communicative, organized, and detailed oriented with the ability to establish strong partnerships with internal cross functional teams as well as external clients. This role will be required to work onsite from our NYC office based near Union Square. Required days per week is at the discretion of the hiring manager and may shift to more/less based on business needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Creating deadlines and timeline ensuring submission of all sponsor deliverables are on time (signage, artwork, etc).
  • Lead the Sponsor-related Event Management System deliverables and Partner Portal set up for all CoinDesk events.
  • Creating all Sponsor onboarding documents including exhibitor guides, introduction emails, etc. 
  • Support producing custom executions and activations (charging stations, water, swag, etc). 
  • Acting as a source of information and lead for the other Account Managers that will start later in the Event timeline. 
  • Manage and onboard a group of sponsors on their activation(s) and/or exhibit(s) for all CoinDesk Events. 
  • Creating the weekly sponsor bulletins for the lead up Consensus. 
  • Answering sponsor emails and questions promptly and acting as their key liaison to the event.
  • Setting up weekly calls/meetings with Sponsors as needed. 
  • Reaching out to sponsors with any new information.
  • Communicating with the convention center, decorator and other applicable vendors on sponsor deliverables.
  • Producing lead for all non-convention center parties and events that are sponsor related.
  • Staying very organized in the internal CoinDesk processes and trackers.
  • Ensuring that all trackers are up to date.
  • International travel required for the live show and site visits as needed. 
  • Meeting with the sponsors on-site and checking in on their builds, if they need anything, etc. 
  • Assist with post event notes, Proof of Placement & recaps. 

What You Have

  • Minimum 5 years of event planning experience at an agency or brand with a proven track record of planning and executing large scale events or conferences. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a face-paced environment. 
  • Excellent client communication skills, always striving to provide the best service possible. 
  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking and attention to detail. 
  • Flexibility to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed for event execution

CoinDesk Inc and CoinDesk Indices Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + benefits. Offered salary may vary based on geographic location, including city and state, and will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
