About Bitcoin Dollar

Bitcoin Dollar is building a new DeFi yield primitive and structured product platform based on BTCD — a collateralized token that maintains a 50/50 BTC/USD exposure. But the real product isn't BTCD itself — it's what BTCD makes possible.

When users stake BTCD, they receive sBTCD, a yield-bearing token that captures returns from the entire underlying portfolio: productive Bitcoin assets like ybBTC, productive dollar assets like sUSDe and sUSDS, and the portfolio's own volatility monetization engine. sBTCD becomes the most powerful collateral primitive in DeFi.

By using sBTCD as collateral in leveraged vaults, we isolate pure exposure and build structured products on top:

  • The USD Vault borrows BTC against sBTCD, delivering 12–15% APY in dollar terms with zero BTC price risk to the depositor.
  • The BTC Vault borrows USD against sBTCD, delivering 6–10% APY denominated in BTC while preserving full Bitcoin exposure.

Depositors simply choose USD or BTC. The vaults handle the leverage, the rebalancing, and the risk management. The yield flows down from sBTCD — which aggregates returns from USD strategies, BTC strategies, and internal rebalancing — into simple structured products that anyone can use.

Bitcoin Dollar is built by crypto leaders from Coinme, Bullish, ShapeShift, Credora, and ether.fi, and backed by Polygon Labs and Coinme. We're a small, high-conviction team building at the intersection of Bitcoin and DeFi. Your work here will directly shape how millions of people save and grow their wealth.

The Role

We're looking for a Community Manager & Social Media Lead who lives on Crypto Twitter and knows how to build an audience from zero. You'll own Bitcoin Dollar's voice across X, Discord, and Telegram — creating the content, conversations, and community that turn a technically brilliant protocol into a brand people follow, trust, and deposit into.

We aspire to remain a small team of senior-level contributors who possess the highest levels of ownership, integrity, customer empathy, and ambition. This isn't a "schedule posts and monitor DMs" role. You'll be crafting narratives that explain complex DeFi mechanics to a broad audience, building real relationships with KOLs and influencers, and shaping how the market perceives Bitcoin Dollar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Bitcoin Dollar's presence on X/Twitter — write threads, posts, and commentary that build a following and position BTCD as a must-watch DeFi primitive
  • Build and moderate active communities on Discord and Telegram, fostering genuine engagement rather than noise
  • Develop Bitcoin Dollar's brand voice and content engine — translate complex protocol mechanics (omega hedging, TRD, internal RFQ) into compelling, accessible narratives
  • Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with KOLs, DeFi influencers, and crypto-native content creators to amplify awareness
  • Drive listings and visibility on DefiLlama, DeFi Pulse, CoinGecko, Zapper, and major DeFi aggregators
  • Design and launch community growth programs including referral loops, early depositor incentives, points programs, and community campaigns to bootstrap and retain TVL
  • Represent Bitcoin Dollar in Twitter Spaces, podcasts, and community calls to build brand credibility
  • Track and report on community and social metrics — follower growth, engagement rates, Discord/Telegram activity, and conversion from community to depositor
  • Serve as the voice of the community to the team — surface user feedback, sentiment shifts, and competitive chatter that should inform product and positioning decisions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in community management, social media, or content creation in crypto/DeFi — with a personal track record on Crypto Twitter
  • An active, established X/Twitter presence in the crypto ecosystem — we care less about follower count and more about who follows you. Real engagement and real relationships with DeFi builders, researchers, and allocators matter more than vanity metrics
  • Deep understanding of DeFi mechanics: yield farming, liquidity provision, vaults, staking, governance tokens — you're a user, not just an observer
  • Excellent written communication — you can explain complex DeFi concepts in threads and posts that people actually want to read and share
  • Experience building and moderating Discord and/or Telegram communities from early stage
  • Strong relationships with KOLs, DeFi influencers, and crypto media — you know who to call
  • Creative and prolific — you can sustain a high-quality content cadence without a team behind you
  • Scrappy, self-directed executor who thrives building from scratch at an early-stage protocol
  • Comfortable with AI tools and workflows to amplify output

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a yield-focused or stablecoin protocol (Ethena, Sky, Morpho, Pendle, Aave, Yearn, Lido, or similar)
  • Track record of securing DeFi media coverage, podcast appearances, or crypto press placements
  • Experience designing and launching token incentive programs, points systems, or community campaigns
  • Familiarity with on-chain analytics tools (Dune, Nansen, Arkham) for community research and competitive intelligence
  • Meme fluency

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
