This role focuses on aligning customer needs with Flywheel consulting engagements and Proxie robotic solutions, delivering high-impact, scalable technical strategies. The ideal candidate brings expertise in advanced technologies such as IoT, robotics, and enterprise systems, along with the ability to bridge technical and business requirements. You will work closely with the Senior Account Manager to craft transformative solutions while supporting a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.

This role is located at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters, or remotely within the US.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Manager to manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, diving into technical challenges and building customized solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Conduct detailed technical needs assessments, creating solution architectures that demonstrate the value of Flywheel consulting engagements and Proxie deployments.
  • Own the pre-sales process, including field-based technical validations, preparing proposals, and delivering technical presentations that clearly articulate solution feasibility and impact.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Technical Strategy to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs, incorporating this insight into solution designs.
  • Work closely with the VP of Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs from pre-sales to delivery, focusing on successful implementations and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Build technical trust with stakeholders by providing deep expertise in IoT, Cloud, robotics, and enterprise systems while tailoring solutions to specific customer challenges.
  • Maintain organized records in CRM systems, managing technical contributions to the sales pipeline and reporting key metrics to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or similar roles in high-tech B2B environments.
  • Proven success in bridging technical and business requirements, delivering solution designs for complex enterprise systems.
  • Expertise in IoT/Cloud architecture, robotics, AMRs, WMS, ERP, or related technologies, with knowledge of companies like Bastian Solutions, Dematic, Flexe, or ABB.
  • Solid understanding of sales processes, including CRM management, proposal development, and leveraging sales tools effectively.
  • High technical acumen with the ability to craft and present scalable solutions for enterprise customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on aligning technical capabilities to customer needs and strategic objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to varied audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or related sales roles.
  • Background in large-scale automation systems, robotics integration, or enterprise ERP/WMS implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced automation and logistics technologies, including robotics, software and IoT solutions.
  • Proven ability to build technical trust and act as a go-to advisor for customers on complex, multi-stakeholder engagements.
  • Familiarity with aligning consulting services like Flywheel to client requirements, including scoping and tailoring engagements.
  • Evidence of success in dynamic, high-growth environments or startups, demonstrating adaptability and innovation.
