About the Marketing Team
The Marketing Team focuses on positioning Collectively as a creator economy leader, growing our reputation globally and driving brand projects, communications, and lead generation efforts across markets. This team works closely with cross-functional colleagues in Client Strategy and Business Development to develop programs and materials to connect with clients, creators, media, and our broader industry.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Marketing is a multidisciplinary marketer who serves as the primary lead supporting brand strategy for our agency and is responsible for all marketing and communications projects. This role requires a generalist marketing and communications skill set, as the work ranges from managing media requests, to supporting conference talks and sponsorships, developing thought leadership and content marketing materials, and managing our owned web and social media channels and associated PPC investments in partnership with contract talent. This role demands a deep understanding of the influencer marketing ecosystem, experience marketing client services organizations, and the ability to foster strong industry partnerships.
Content Marketing & Thought Leadership
- Develop thought leadership including our influencer marketing industry reports, short POVs on emerging trends, and conference talks
- Oversee content creation and community management for Collectively social channels website, and newsletter, and optimize strategy through performance analysis
- Manage the development of sales enablement collateral that illustrates Collectively services and thought leadership, including presentations, case studies, videos, and other assets
- Source and oversee strategists, researchers, writers, and designers on more complex projects
Partnership Management
- Actively seek out and identify new opportunities for Collectively to publish thought leadership or represent ourselves in market via podcasts, panels, and events
- Manage impactful industry sponsorships and partnerships with conferences, awards entities, Brandtech Group collaborators, etc.
- Support co-marketing opportunities with social platform partners
PR, Communications, and Events
- Manage awards calendar and entries
- Develop and nurture relationships with relevant media and industry groups
- Collaborate with PR partner on media strategy and outreach
- Brief executives and other leaders for media opportunities
- Lead events strategy and oversee client and industry gatherings
Digital Marketing
- Oversee PPC and paid social strategies to support Collectively’s overall growth and reputation, pulling in contract support where needed
- Manage SEO to support organic traffic to Collectively’s content
- Track and report on success to optimize strategy
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years in experience in marketing, sales, PR, or the advertising industry, with familiarity marketing B2B services
- Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of successfully managing individual contributors and complex projects
- Deep understanding of the influencer marketing ecosystem, with an ability to identify and act on trends in the space
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail, eye for design & commitment to producing quality work
- Experience managing social media channels and company website
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta and LinkedIn Ads Manager
- Exceptional focus and time management skills
- Excellent initiative and proactive follow-through with all colleagues from peers to senior staff

Pay
The pay range for this position is $150,000 to $172,500. Collectively takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
