Director, HR Business Partner - Commercial

Collegium Pharmaceutical is building a leading, diversified biopharmaceutical company committed to improving the lives of people living with serious medical conditions. We have a leading portfolio of responsible pain management and neuropsychiatry medications.

Hybrid: Required to be onsite in Stoughton, MA on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director, Human Resources Business Partner-Commercial will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and Commercial Leadership Team to facilitate the activities necessary to meet HR, Commercial and company objectives. This role will execute the Human Resources strategy and support HR and Commercial initiatives. They will own the relationship with Commercial leaders to provide guidance and partnership on employee relations, performance management, talent processes, individual development planning, professional development, and organizational culture. They will partner with the Chief People Officer and work closely with the HR team to continuously improve the employee lifecycle HR programs and processes including employee engagement, talent management and development across the commercial organization to meet the needs of the business. They will represent the People needs of the business to ensure HR processes and programs are designed to meet the needs of the organization.  Ensure consistent and compliant application of processes and programs across Sales forces by working closely with HRBP, Sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Commercial Leadership to provide guidance and partnership on employee relations, performance management, talent processes, professional development, and organizational culture
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition and commercial leaders to identify and execute talent strategies to attract, identify, hire, develop, promote and retain top talent
  • Utilize consulting and coaching skills to influence, coach and provide feedback to employees at all levels
  • Mediate and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations as needed; Work closely with internal and external legal counsel to ensure employee relations processes and tactics are in compliance with employment laws in all states and municipalities in which we
  • Influence leaders to take short and long-term view on engaging talent processes including talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development and talent assessment
  • Support the design, development and execution of critical HR initiatives and projects (performance management, organizational design, talent reviews, workforce planning, talent initiatives.)
  • Partner with internal and external resources to identify relationships, trends, and potential business impact; interpret data and communicate findings to HR team and commercial leadership; influence the evolution and utilization of data and analytics to inform business decisions and preferred talent outcomes
  • Develop and maintain project documentation such as timelines, work plans, calendars, and dashboards to provide visibility into project portfolio for the HR function, organize and facilitate project kick-off meetings, status meetings, other relevant project meetings, and After-Action Reviews
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in employee relations and talent development and serve as a mentor for the HR team
  • Collaborate closely with our internal HR teams as well as key stakeholders in Compliance, Finance, Sales Training, and Commercial Operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required, Master’s degree and SPHR/SHRM-SCP preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources including Employee Relations, Talent Development, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, HRIS, Compliance and Program Development and Delivery is required with at least 3 years of related HR business partnering experience in a commercial Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences organization
  • Substantial experience in employment relations and business partnering
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills
  • Substantial experience in navigating complex and sensitive employee relations scenarios and investigation management, follow through and resolution required
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and understanding of HR and industry related compliance requirements required
  • Exceptional project and vendor management skills, including ability to negotiate, manage and influence without direct reporting relationship
  • Exceptional qualitative and analytical/quantitative skills

Pay Range

$195,250 - $215,250 USD
